Larry Carruth

The surgeons were not able to complete the procedure to remove his esophagus because they found a new tumor in the stomach and it seems the cancer has spread to his lymph nodes. Daddy has made the decision to try another round of Chemo. He will begin treatment on July 10th and he will take a treatment once every three weeks. Please continue to pray for him as we travel this road ahead of us.

Thursday Afternoon

Friends, please be praying for the family of Dr. Dave Edwards. Bro. Dave went to be with The Lord yesterday after walking from the SBC Convention back to his hotel. Bro. Dave was a professor at Tennessee Temple University. As you can imagine his wife Karen and family as well as coworkers are in shock and need our prayers. This morning I’m reminded again of the brevity of life and our need to have a sense of urgency in reaching the lost. -Bro. Stan (Statham)

Millie Edwards the young daughter of one of my former students, Sonja, is on hospice care and slowly showing signs that she is not getting better.  Pray for this family, especially for Sonja.  She is a strong person and a very protective mother.

“And this gospel of the kingdom

will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations,

and then the end will come.”

~Matthew 24:14, NKJV~

Daddy (Larry Carruth of Greensburg) will have surgery tomorrow morning to remove his Esophagus. This is a major surgery that is necessary in the treatment of his cancer. Please keep him in your prayers.

Becky Carroth Lindsey

(He will be at Our Lady of the Lake in Baton Rouge.)

Angie Nielson’s mother’s test came out fine yesterday.  Thanks for praying.

Chase Birch will have surgery today on his pitching (right) arm.  Pray for him today and as he faces the long recovery process.

Pat Hoosier (written by Melissa H. Liberto)

God is awesome!!! Your prayers are such a blessing!! Dad is going to be able to start his chemo back up today. The oncologist was concerned about his liver because it didnt show up to good 3 weeks ago in a CT and then last week his protein and magnesium levels were down. Last weeks CT showed that dad’s liver looked remarkable (that’s how they described it) and the cancer in the liver has gotten much smaller in size. Yesterday his protein levels were back up and his magnesium was still down but not as much. I believe and know God wanted us to see more of his work. If last weeks bump in the road wouldn’t have happened then we wouldn’t know how great his liver was doing. Thank you God!!

It was our privilege to visit with the family of Mr. Roy Mitchell last night.  The American flag, special flag from his military service, and the wreaths that said “Army” and “X-POW” really touched my heart.  I thank God for the men and women of the Greatest Generation.

We are thankful for the rain we received tonight.  We received less than a quarter inch this morning and almost none in the last week.  God sent it right when it was needed.  He’s always on time!

Kaye Roberts’ brother,  Jimmy Alford of Magnolia, was diagnosed with cancer last week.  He will begin treatment at Ochsner in New Orleans today.  Pray for Jimmy and his extended family during this time.

Pray for Andy Taylor’s sister, Cindy.  She is having serious vision problems.  Your prayers will be appreciated.

Prayer has been requested for Chase Birch who will have surgery on his pitching arm Wednesday.  This will take him out of sports for his entire senior year.  Pray the surgery is successful and Chase is an obedient patient so he won’t cause permanent damage to his right arm.

Don Schneeweiss’ sister has been hospitalized twice since her kidney transplant.  The sister-in-law who was the donor is doing well.  Pray things begin to run smoothly for Don’s sister.

Robbie Lynn is still hospitalized and fighting some difficult issues.  Prayer for her, her doctors, and her family will be greatly appreciated.

Mr. Jerome Rosenblatt is hospitalized at the VA in Jackson, MS.  Pray for him and for his wife at home.

My aunt from Texas, Naomi, called to say her husband, John Orr, will be having knee-replacement surgery this morning at 7:30 at Tyler, TX.  She has fallen again while visiting her daughter at the nursing home.  Sharla has developed respiratory problems at the nursing home. This family seems to always have a “full plate” of difficulties to face.  Pray for them to stay strong in their faith and to have better days soon.

Pray for Callie Cole.  Her situation is one of small steps of progress.
