Phillip Strickland‘s surgery went very well.  He will be in the hospital for several more days.  Later, he will have chemo.  Please keep praying.

 

Ora Lee Wilson sees the specialist in Jackson tomorrow.  Please keep her and her family in your prayers.

Pray for Phillip Strickland and his family.  He is having surgery at 8:00 this morning at Ochsner.

The good news about Ryan “Rufus” Williams is that he was able to be taken off the ventilator yesterday morning.

Third Thursday Gathering at the Cabin – You are invited to the cabin at 6:30 Thursday for food, fellowship, music, and a devotional.

 

There will be a missions march for the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering for North American Sunday during the worship service.

Don’t forget to bring bags of red beans and rice to FBC, Kentwood.  These items will be collected until the end of May and them donated to two local food pantries to help meet immediate needs of people.

Bettye Fussell got through some difficult days last week and celebrated Easter by eating at Middendorf’s yesterday.  Join her in thanking God for a good day in one of her favorite places.

Wendell Simmons is doing well and is expected to be able to come home today.  Thank you for your continued prayers for his recovery.

Phillip Strickland will be having surgery tomorrow at Ochsner on Jefferson.  They expect to be gone for the entire week.  Pray for good results for the surgery and for the girls during this week.

Ora Lee Wilson sees an oncologist tomorrow.  Pray for her and her family as they are anxious to get this behind them.

Ryan “Rufus” Williams is making good progress following his stroke.  He’s successfully reducing the amount of dependence on the ventilator.

Wendell Simmons had emergency surgery at North Oaks last night to remove his appendix.  Please pray for Ginger and Wendell.

Jim Watson passed away last night.  Please be in prayer for Sylvia, Jeremiah, Noah, and other family members family.

Mr. Donald Spring passed away yesterday.  What a wonderful time of year to move to a heavenly home!  Please pray for the family members.

Carry the Cross – Meet at FBC to be transported to Smokehouse where the walk will begin at 9:00.  It will end at FBC about 10:00.  There will be a brief celebration in the parking lot at that time.

 

Ruth Stewart Cutrer got a good report at the cancer center in McComb.  Join me in thanking God for her good report.

Bessie Hayden‘s broken toe is allowing her to walk a little more.  Continue to pray for her.

Good Friday!

Praise be to the God and Father

Mike Lee‘s test yesterday showed a 50% blockage.  He was sent home and will be treated with medication.

Gail Smith got a good report!  The cancer has shrunk and was not detected anywhere in her body.  Gail will undergo two weeks of brain radiation which is a preventative step.  The next scan will be done in three months.  The family ask for your continued prayers.

Bessie Hayden broke a toe and is sidelined for a while.  I doubt that keeps her from giving away many more awesome Easter baskets she made.  She sent some to the children at missions last night.

Kenneth Birch is still dealing with severe back pain.  Pray for him as he seeks additional help.

Sissy Oliver continues to improve.  Keep her in your prayers.

Bettye Fussell was able to have her chemo this week.  Pray she begins to feel better today.

Harrell Sharkey, Jr. continues to recover from last week’s surgery.  Keep praying.

Mike Lee will be having an angiogram today at Cypress Point.  Say a prayer for him, please.

Continue to pray for Phillip Strickland as he prepares for surgery next week.

Andy Taylor got a good report Monday on one foot.  The will see the doctor again next Monday concerning the other foot.

Continue to pray for Ora Lee Wilson as she sees a specialist later this month.

Please add Dwaine Creel’s mother, Diane Creel, who is in OLOL with heart issues.

Continue to pray for Jim and Sylvia Watson as they learn more about his problem and make plans for treatment.
