Koltyn Gafford is celebrating his third birthday today.  Please thank God for this day.

Jadon’s Journey

My baby who is missing the part of his brain that controls speech and language,tested out of language today. He is still having some articulation errors but he no longer needs help with speech language only speech articulation. How awesome is that? Jadon continues to amaze me. Thank you God for your blessings (smile emoticon).

(As I prepared my Sunday School lesson for today, I found a note at the end that encouraged us to invited people to Sunday School next Sunday to learn of the resurrection and its impact on our future.  That certainly is  good idea.  This morning, hears a verse to give us more encouragement to do so.)

  • Hope Center will be OPEN Good Friday.
  • The next associational WMU meeting will be at New Zion and features Rev. Randy Durant speaking on missions and the mission trips made by Montpelier Baptist Church.
  • Pine Ridge United Methodist Church will have a Good Friday service.
  • Friday Bible Study will not meet Good Friday.
  • The office of FBC, K will not be open Good Friday.
  • Inspiration Park will have a sunrise service next Sunday morning.

  • Get a brown paper bag with the name of something for the children
  • Make your purchases each month
  • Return your filled bag to the table in the hallway across from the kitchen

Renee Deck Terrell did well in surgery and is back at home.

Mrs. Nita Russell has had to have surgery after her fall at North Oaks.  She will be moving to rehab tomorrow.  Her daughter, Cathy Russell, is still in North Oaks.  You may know Nita as the mother of Faibra Cade or the step-mother of J.C. Miller,

Keith Sumeral was involved in an accident on Highway 16, Amite Tuesday afternoon.  He is okay.  In fact, everyone who was involved will be okay.  Let’s thank God for watching over the occupants of both vehicles.

Bobby Lawson – Please continue to pray for him and his family.

Darren Fontz (son of Diane Strickland) has begun chemo.  Please pray for him and for his family.

Pray for John Dyer (not the local one, but Jana Creel’s brother-in-law) as they work to determine this problem.  So far, they have eliminated the possibility of Parkinson’s.

Martha Pevey Drago will be having surgery.  She wrote this last night.

Tomorrow is surgery day! One step closer to getting this over with!!! Surgery is scheduled for 8:30am. Please pray that all goes well and please pray for my doctors and all the medical staff who will be working on me! I know that the Great Physician will be right there with me guiding their hands and thoughts while healing me. Thank you all for praying for me and my family!

Tuesday

Jadon’s Journey (Written by his mom)
Ortho doesn’t think it’s a fracture. She thinks that the tendon is tight and because Jadon is so active it is rubbing against the bone by his heel which is the area that hurts him to touch. The rubbing is causing inflammation which is causing him to not be able to walk. They put him in a cast for 2 reasons. 1 to let his foot rest so it can heal. 2 to help stretch the tendon. They casted his foot at a 90 degree angle to stretch it really well. He will wear the cast for 2 weeks and then we will go back to see what needs to be done next. He is so happy he can walk on it. I just pray it doesn’t set him back too much. He was doing so well!! The ortho seems to think we will have to do adjustments every time he has a growth spurt.

Koltyn has had a very eventful weekend. Although all good things must come to an end and sadly ours is ending with a trip to the ER. We have been noticing what seems like “Absence Seizures aka Petit Mal Seizures” sudden blank stares for short periods of time like he has just been startled. They are getting more frequent and the Dr. told us to bring him straight to the ER for further testing. Praying everything is ok with our ‪#‎littlemiracle‬. Thanks to everyone this weekend for your support for ‪#‎KoltynBradley‬ it means the world to our family the love & support our amazing community has shown us.

Rod Venable will be having surgery this week.  Keep him and Bridgette in your prayers.

Please continue to pray for Joe Easley and his family.

Another family that is in need of our prayers if that of Bobby Lawson.  He is at home.

 Jadon’s Journey

Update on Jadon’s foot. The orthopedic called yesterday and said that after reviewing his xrays that it looks like a fracture. It is not his tendon like we originally thought. We will go back to Childrens Monday to get a cast. He is not happy about it. He wants it to come off now because he says it feels better. He is such a tough little boy. He kept telling me there was a crack inside his foot. Well he was right. His brace that he wears was giving him enough support to walk and that’s why he was having so much trouble when we took it off. It also explains why it was getting worse daily. It had to be hurting him and he never complained of pain. My tough little guy! (Written by his mom)
