PRAYER FOCUS for the DAY

Today, let’s pray for for all the mom, dads, siblings, etc. who work with children each day to complete homework and study for tests. This is sometimes the most challenging part of the “teacher’s day”. Let’s support them with our prayers.

Go back and read the Scripture at the top of this page. Hard work is not always physical work!

Taylor Buckley had emergency surgery in Montana yesterday morning, Pray for his recovery and peace of mind for him and his family.

Bro. Darryll Miller’s sermon yesterday morning concerning personal testimonies lead to adjustment of plans for Sunday night, September 4th. Bro. Darryll will lead the congregation in writing testimonies at that time. You are invited to participate.

David and I first attended a testimony writing class in the early 70’s at Roseland Baptist Church. Bro. Chip Sloan was our pastor at that time.

Last night, three individuals asked about purchasing items for “Shoeboxes”. One hint is that school supplies and summer toys are being marked down now in many stores. Think of crayons, jump ropes, etc.. Another suggestion is to purchase soap, tooth brushes, and washcloths which are always needed. Small dolls, stuffed animals, cars, and marbles are always useful.
