Monday Mid-Morning

Please add Jessica Garner to the Prayer list. Her cancer has came back, but at this point can’t have any treatments because she is pregnant. They are planning to take the baby early, but they dont wanna danger the baby. She has been battling this for a while and is a young lady with a young family, but God works miracles. Just keep her in your prayers.

May God continue to bless America, especially those who serve to protect freedom around the world!

Monday

“I commit you to God and to the Word of his grace,

which can build you up and

give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified.”

~Acts 20:32NIV~

We are thankful for the rain we received tonight.  We received less than a quarter inch this morning and almost none in the last week.  God sent it right when it was needed.  He’s always on time!

Kaye Roberts’ brother,  Jimmy Alford of Magnolia, was diagnosed with cancer last week.  He will begin treatment at Ochsner in New Orleans today.  Pray for Jimmy and his extended family during this time.

Pray for Andy Taylor’s sister, Cindy.  She is having serious vision problems.  Your prayers will be appreciated.

Prayer has been requested for Chase Birch who will have surgery on his pitching arm Wednesday.  This will take him out of sports for his entire senior year.  Pray the surgery is successful and Chase is an obedient patient so he won’t cause permanent damage to his right arm.

Don Schneeweiss’ sister has been hospitalized twice since her kidney transplant.  The sister-in-law who was the donor is doing well.  Pray things begin to run smoothly for Don’s sister.

Robbie Lynn is still hospitalized and fighting some difficult issues.  Prayer for her, her doctors, and her family will be greatly appreciated.

Mr. Jerome Rosenblatt is hospitalized at the VA in Jackson, MS.  Pray for him and for his wife at home.

My aunt from Texas, Naomi, called to say her husband, John Orr, will be having knee-replacement surgery this morning at 7:30 at Tyler, TX.  She has fallen again while visiting her daughter at the nursing home.  Sharla has developed respiratory problems at the nursing home. This family seems to always have a “full plate” of difficulties to face.  Pray for them to stay strong in their faith and to have better days soon.

Pray for Callie Cole.  Her situation is one of small steps of progress.

Mr. Harley Kliesch moved to his heavenly home last night and is no longer possessed by the disease that has controlled his life lately.  May we all remember what a wonderful man he was and the example he set.

Apology – Yesterday afternoon, I realized I did not “publish” The Prayer Link when it was completed.  I’m sorry.  I suppose I was thinking about what was going to happen with VBS yesterday.  I will get this published right away.

“If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed.

And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

~John 8:31b-32 NKJV~

The VBS program at FBC, Kentwood was wonderful, as usual.  You can’t get boring or sad when you put children on stage at a church.  We thank those who joined us from other churches and hope VBS was as meaningful to you as it was for us.  The offering given during VBS will be sent to aid in Disaster Relief in Oklahoma.

East Fork Baptist Church sends four on a mission trip to Honduras.  Join in on praying for them and those to whom they will minister.  Those going are: Randi Shaidaee, Tristan Grice , Dan’l and Natalie Johnson.

Thursday

“Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves.

Do what it says.

Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror and,

after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like.

But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it —

not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it —

they will be blessed in what they do.”

~James 1:22-25 NIV~
