“I love you with an everlasting love.”

~Jeremiah 31:3 (GW)~

Two of our special friends have very special birthdays today and Sunday. “Miss” Ruby Dillon will be 91 today. Mr. “Cete” Dillon will be 95 Saturday. Join me in celebrating the long lives God has richly blessed them with.

I’m so excited. Tomorrow is the first day Mrs. Thelma Pierce will teach lots of ladies how to transform a man’s dress shirt into a dress for a little girl. We will use our dresses to add to the shoeboxes we send to girls ten to fourteen years old. We will use discarded shirts and make them into dresses that will be gladly used by girls in a far away land. How exciting is that!

We will begin at 9:00 Saturday and again on Monday at 10:00. You do not have to register, just come. Bring some shirts, finger foods, shears, and other sewing equipment you may have. If sewing is not your greatest joy, you can cut, press, and/or learn about other projects you can be a part of. It is a “Hands-On” day! If you have time before then and are comfortable doing it, you can remove the shirt pockets. Bring them along with the dress. If not, some of the rest of us will do it for you.

It’s all about being a part of a mission project and working as a team. It will be lots of fun. I’ll share an update for those of you who are unable to participate.
