“The person who plants selfishness,

ignoring the needs of others

ignoring God! —

harvests a crop of weeds.

All he’ll have to show for his life is weeds!

But the one who plants in response to God,

God’s Spirit do the growth work in him,

harvests a crop of real life, eternal life.”

~Galatians 6:7-8 MSG~

(Do you remember the devotional and the hymn, “Others”, I posted last week?)

Tracen Schneeweiss was born last night.  He weighed 8.5 pounds.  This is Justin and Sarah’s third child.  God bless this growing family.

I have loved to listen to this lady for years without ever dreaming the story of her life was anything like I just read.  My respect  for her has grown tremendously in the last few minutes. Thankfully,I grew up in much better circumstances.  I’m able to follow and serve the same God Ethel knew and loved.  How blessed I am!

This is was so encouraging to hear today! Please continue to pray for God’s grace and mercy to my nephew. My sister, Michelle writes: Thank you all for continued prayers for Jordan Madison, he walked today and ate a little! Major improvement but will have to go through speech and physical therapy when they see he is ready. I won’t be posting unless anything changes so thank you all for the encouragement and thank Jesus for his progress:)

Thursday Evening

I’ve intended to update you about Jimmy Tolar all day, but just failed to do so.  Jimmy was in the ER all night.  Today, he was given a room and had lots of tests.  The fluid buildup was a heart problem caused by eating the wrong food.  Jimmy will probably get to come home tomorrow.  Hopefully, this problem is solved.

Thursday

And God is able to bless you abundantly,

so that in all things at all times,

having all that you need,

will abound in every good work.

~2 Corinthians 9:8~

Mr. Jimmy Tolar was taken to Hood Memorial and then transferred to OLOL.  Please be in prayer for him, his family, and his doctors.

Continue to pray for Mrs. Kathryn Kuss.  She is limiting her outings more.

Continue to thank God for the progress Mansell Stinson has made.

A wife of noble character who can find?

She is worth far more than rubies.

Macy Gueldner is finished with her chemo, but still has her port.  Last night her mother had to make an emergency trip to the hospital in Baton Rouge that has been involved with Macy’s treatment.  Macy had high fever and other problems.  Pray for this family to remain strong and faithful even on the most difficult of days!  May Macy’s family be reminded of God’s faithfulness, even of the difficult days.

It’s the time of year to think of graduations, and even more importantly, graduates!  You may or may not be attending the actual graduation ceremonies.  The graduates may or may not be relatives, but graduation, at any level, is a big step.  Today, let’s think of all the graduates we know and say or do something to guide and encourage them in life.
