Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others,

as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.

Update on Josiah Huckaby (Notice the timeline.)

Update (3:30pm): Josiah did great with his heart cath. He is back in his room. He seems to be doing good. The short version of today—they were able to see that his lungs are the main issue. The main course of action is nutrition and growth of lung tissue. His lungs will continue to grow and that should help in the long run. They also ballooned one of his pulmonary veins. We will have a better idea of what the long term plan is on Thursday after the cardiologists discuss his case in conference on Wednesday evening. Thanks for the prayers. God is so good!!! 💙💛💙💛

Update (2:45pm): They are done. He will back up to his room shortly.

Update (12:45pm): Just started the cath. We will get updates every hour.

Josiah just went down for the cath.

“Sweet Hour of Prayer” – I remember a time when I was a child and would visit my uncle’s church where he was the music minister.  The youth filled the choir loft every Sunday evening.  As soon as they got into their places, they sang this song.  That memory makes this great hymn even more special to me.

While searching for a “Sweet Hour of Prayer” youtube, I ran across another one I want to share.  It is special to me because I loved it as a child and have taught many children this song.  In fact, last night during Bible Drill class with the children, I called out this Scripture for us to all locate and read together.  After that, we sang the song.  What fun it is!  What a powerful message it conveys.  I always add an extra verse about “Shine all over Kentwood”.  I hope you will take the time to sing this simple little song with such a tremendously large message and challenge for each of us.  Listen first. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lSvQzMpe5Q0

Saturday Addition

Remember, President Trump declared tomorrow to be a national day of prayer.

It is a good feeling to be shopping for Operation Christmas Child in Hammond and run across another person from FBC,Kentwood shopping for OCC.  This has happened to us twice this year!

Unique baptism at FBC, Canton, TX where my uncle served as minister of music a long time ago.  This is one service that I think we all would have loved to have been a part of a couple weeks ago.
