Operation Christmas Child – Yesterday’s plan was for the shoebox cartons to be picked up in Hammond and brought to the church. With some hard working volunteers though, the shoeboxes from our church were packed into cartons. That a big check-off on our list.

Filler Items – Speaking of shoeboxes, we always seem to have some items that don’t make it into the boxes before they are filled. This surely happens to others too. You can pack them up and send them as fillers to be used at our processing site in Dallas. Please pack them in a box that looks nothing like a shoebox. They can be added to other boxes as needed. There is no postage charge for sending them. When our church was first a drop-off site, we didn’t receive any filler items. Since then, we have sent and received filler from some area churches. Those who work at the processing sites are thrilled to have quality items to add as needed.

FBC, Kentwood will again serve as a drop-off location November 16 – November 23. What an honor it is have the opportunity to help all these boxes sent on to Dallas. The times for drop-off at FBC, Kentwood are listed on the Samaritan’s Purse site. I’ll give them here too, so would have a choice of writing them down or looking them up.

Today, please pray for all the people who minister in Jesus name through church ministry, serving a s missionaries, working in church camps, working in disaster relief, helping with foster care, homeless, etc. Thank God for people who take advantage of the opportunities we all have to serve Him.
