In everything I did, I showed you

that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak,

remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said:

“It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ ”

not only can you do what was done to the fig tree,

but also you can say to this mountain,

‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’

and it will be done.

Thursday Afternoon

I want to share two updates this afternoon.

  1. Mr. Gerald Miller, in the words of his doctor, is a “miracle”.  Mr. Gerald is doing better than the doctor ever imagined was possible.  He did very well when the physical therapist checked him today and is scheduled to do home tomorrow unless something unforeseen happens tonight.  The family is very appreciative of your prayers.  God certainly looked out for this family this week.
  2. Jules “Sonny” Hurst, Jr. will be buried in North Carolina.  That’s the home to most of his family.  As far as I know, there will be no service here.  You are invited to pray for the family here and there.

Wednesday Evening

Mr. Gerald Miller, husband of Mr. James Miller’s sister, has an aneurism and is hospitalized in St. Tammany hospital.  He is also Kenny Ray Gill’s father-in-law.   Please pray for Mr. Gerald, “Miss” Bea, and other family members.   Mr. Gerald and his family live in Mt. Hermon.

Also, the Hurst family had a death today.  Sonny, son of Mr. Jules “Sugar” Hurst, was in his late 60’s and no longer lived in this area.  I know you will want to pray for this family.

Saturday

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened,

and I will give you rest.

~Matthew 11:28~

Iley Dillon had shoulder surgery Thursday morning.  He’s home and beginning a long recovery period.  Please keep him in your prayers.

Johnny Belgard is still at Ochsner in New Orleans.  He continues to slowly improve.  Please pray for him for a while longer.
