The LORD is with me; I will not be afraid.

What can mere mortals do to me?

Barbara Hutchinson will also be having surgery, a knee replacement.  Hers will be done May 1.

Gloria Gill will be having a test May 2nd.  Please pray for another lady from our church.

Rod Smith, formerly of Kentwood, “had a stroke on Monday, May 24, and has been in the hospital in Laurel since then.  They are putting in a feeding tube today  (Friday) because he has been unable to swallow – his major issue.  His speech has also been slightly affected but not his sense of humor.  He is still in his preacher mode telling everyone …’what is important is your faith in Jesus Christ’.”

Rev. Bill Ichter, the retired music minister to Brazil and former music director at FBC, Amite, was able to return home yesterday after being in the hospital in Minden because of pneumonia.  Thank God that Bro. Bill improved and will return to his family.

Wayne McNabb went home yesterday with a heart monitor for the next two weeks.  A date for nasal surgery has not been set yet.  The doctors suspect his problem was caused by medication, but are monitoring his heart to be safe.

Phillip Strickland of Osyka was able to  return home to his family yesterday.  Thank God for this big step he has made.

While you are praying, please also pray for a new class at FBC, Kentwood.  We will be beginning a Bible Drill class.  Pray the boys and girls learn more about their Bible through our weekly classes.

Jesus is the reason for the Easter season!

Please pray for our friend, Chris Primes of Amite.

It is with tons of prayers, guidance by the best Dr around and much research on my on that I have decided to go forward with the knee replacement on my left leg. This won’t be a standard knee replacement as they are going to screw rods in the bones to anchor the knee replacement to. This, despite being more invasive and painful, has a higher success rate. As this is my only leg left, obviously I am extremely worried. However, I’ve given it over to God and will do my best to not worry or question my decision. I tell you all this because I know I have some super prayer warriors out there. I need you guys now! For those that stuck with this post till the end, thank you and God Bless! Please keep Renee Renee Bennett Primes and Chris Primes and Allison Primes in your prayers too as they worry too. The bottom line is I can’t live my life out of a medicine bottle and the pain is too great to not do this.

Estelle Raborn is back in North Oaks.  Please pray for this lady and her extended family.  If you have the opportunity to see her at North Oaks, ask for Mary Raborn.
