Just looking at the skyline pictures each day reminds me of how differently many people live than the country life I live in this rural area.  Each city is a whole new world with so many lost people.  Let’s be reminded of our mission – Matthew 28: 19-20.  It doesn’t matter where we choose to “go and tell” as long as it is where He wants us to be.

Friday Morning Bible Study – We’ll complete John 4 this morning.  Come get your study guides for John 5.

Sunday

But Jesus remained silent and gave no answer.

Again the high priest asked him,

“Are you the Messiah, the Son of the Blessed One?”

“I am,” said Jesus.

“And you will see the Son of Man

sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One

and coming on the clouds of heaven.”

Sherman Cutrer is doing well.  His arm was not broken as first thought.

Becky Bridges Wilson had surgery yesterday.  She had to have a leg amputated just above the knee.  Pray for good results.

Gospel Opry:  David and I finally went to this last night.  It was very good.  On the second Tuesday of each month some very talented musicians gather to  perform.  It was like an extended church service.  The Kentwood area was very well represented.  We talked with members of Osyka, East Fork, Greenlaw, FBC, K, and New Zion churches last night.                             The house band was composed of some very talented musicians.  The steel guitar player was a first cousin to David’s sister-in-law, Janie of Holden.  The keyboard player was the nephew of Mr. Harlon Toney of New Zion.  The harmonica/guitar player was Bubba Roberts of Kentwood.  The band was very talented.  At the end, they took requests and played  every song requested without any music.                                                                                                   The next opry will be Saturday, May 14, 2015.  They begin with open mic at 5:45 and begin with the concert at 6:45.  A concession stand is available, so you can get your supper right there.  The location is 3062 Hwy. 98, McComb.  Take the south McComb exit and travel west.  The location is on the right not too far past Bus Supply.

Thursday

Just as people are destined to die once,

and after that to face judgment,

 so Christ was sacrificed once

to take away the sins of many;

and he will appear a second time,

not to bear sin,

but to bring salvation

to those who are waiting for him.
