Creig Conrad

October 6, 1965 – June 19, 2026

A resident of Kentwood, Louisiana, Creig Conrad passed away on Friday, June 19, 2026, at Ochsner Hospital in New Orleans. He was 60 years old. Creig was born October 6, 1965, in Lafayette, Louisiana. He was a proud member of Boilermakers Local 37 and worked as a boilermaker for 48 years. He loved being around his work buddies and took genuine pride in everything he did. Anyone who knew Creig would tell you he always had a smile on his face and lived life to the fullest. If someone needed a helping hand, Creig was always the first one there — no questions asked.

He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Keitha Blades Conrad; his two daughters, Brittany Conrad and Courtney Conrad, both of Walker, LA; one stepson, Chris Allen (Brittany), of Kentwood; his mother, Yvonne Lanier, of Slaughter, LA; three brothers, Joseph Conrad, Jr. (Joanne) of Watson, Lester Conrad (Opal) of Watson, and Jeffrey Barker (Katherine) of Denham Springs; one sister, Madeline Calcotte, of Walker, LA; ten grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends who loved him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Clyde Conrad, Sr.; his stepfather, Joe Lanier; two brothers, Marty Conrad, and Eugene Conrad; one daughter, Storey Chaisson; and one nephew, Marine Lance Cpl. Taylor Conrad.

Visitation at McKneely Funeral Home, Kentwood, from 4:00PM until religious services at 6:00PM on Thursday, June 25, 2026. Services conducted by Dr. Danny Smith. Interment McIntyre Cemetery, Kentwood, LA. Pallbearers will be Chris Allen, Eligh Blades, Kelvin Blades, Tyrone Blades, Riley Wascom, and Kerry Dean Bridges.

The family would like to offer a special thanks to Mary Bird Perkins, Covington, and Ochsner Medical Center Main Campus in New Orleans for their excellent care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in memory of Creig. He was deeply passionate about supporting this cause and would take great joy in knowing he is remembered in this way.

Mrs. Colleen Srickland of Osyka also passed away, but there is no obituary at this time.
