Cora Strahan Morris

September 22, 1940 – October 3, 2022

A resident of Amite, LA, passed away on Monday, October 3, 2022 at The Blake at Flowood in Flowood, MS. She was born September 22, 1940 in Poplarville, MS and was 82 years of age. Cora was a retired principal from Loranger Middle School and a member of Kedron Baptist Church, where she was a leader of WMU. She loved her family, serving others, cooking, going to the mountains, and working in her flowerbeds. She is survived by her 3 daughters, Debra Piazza and husband, Joey, Darbie Morris, and Kim Sims and husband, Shane; 2 sisters, Alene Brown and Ilene Davis and husband, Bill; 1 brother, Marvin Dwight Strahan and wife, Kathy; 12 grandchildren, Ricky LeBlanc, John Piazza, Joede Piazza, Joey Piazza, II and wife Samantha, Austin Morris and wife, Sarah, Trey Morris, Kaitlyn Morris, Nicole Morris, Gabbie Morris. T.J. Sims, Tyler Grace Sims, and Tripp Sims; 8 great-grandchildren, Alaina Piazza, Jaxon Piazza, Zoey Piazza, Abigail Morris, Coralie Morris, Brently Morris, Brody Morris, and Pierre Morris. Preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth W. Morris, Sr.; son, Kenneth W. “Kenny” Morris, Jr.; parents, Marvin and Mary Strahan; and a brother, Larry Strahan. Visitation at Kedron Baptist Church from 10:00AM until religious services at Noon on Thursday, October 6, 2022. Services conducted by Bro. Byron Humphrey and Bro. Jake Williams.
