A resident of Arcola, LA, passed away on Monday, September 5, 2022 at her home in Arcola, LA. She was born October 17, 1945 in Arcola, LA and was 76 years of age. She is survived by her husband, Gene Meyn; 1 daughter, Stacy Meyn; 2 sisters, Alice Frazier and husband, Dennis and Peggy Wall and husband, Raymond; 1 brother, Buddy Rutland; 2 granddaughters, Taryn Strickland and Abygail Snow; 1 grandson, Levi Strickland; 1 niece, Lori Frazier and husband, Scott; 2 nephews, David Frazier and wife, Kim and Barry Wall. Preceded in death by her mother, Bessie Golmon Rutland; and father, Ollie D. Rutland. Pray for the flooding scattered throughout the South.
The problems continue after the flooding is stopped. Disaster relief volunteers never know what they will be doing. Homeowners face problems they. have never faced before.
Update on OCC at FBC, Kentwood
We have have two workshops when we packed 100 and 150 shoeboxes, for a total of 250. We will pack 150 shoeboxes on our third workday, 75 boxes for both the 10-14 year old boys and girls.. We have some more shopping to do before that is done. Pray for those who pack, those who transport, and those who receive the shoeboxes.
PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY
Sometimes it is difficult for children to settle into a new school year. Let’s pray for parents who are called to the school office because of unruly children.
