A resident of Amite, LA, passed away on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at her home in Amite, LA. She was born October 22, 1937 in Magnolia, MS and was 84 years of age. She is survived by her 5 children, Teresa Gayle “Terri” Mixon, Michael Dale Mixon and wife, Rachel, Curtis Duane Mixon and wife, Monica L., Christopher Dane Mixon and wife, Monica J., Derek Shane Mixon and wife, Shannon; 7 grandchildren, Eric David Mixon, Sean Michael Mixon and wife, Brooke, Jon Michael Mixon and wife, Heather, Christina Leigh Ann Brown and husband, Joshua, Jessica Dale Mixon, Gage Michael Mixon, and Andrea Michelle Mixon; 10 great-grandchildren; brother, Richard Allen “ Dickie” Miller.;and numerous nieces and nephews;. Preceded in death by her husband, Otis Mixon; parents, Floyd and Katherine Miller; 2 sisters, Janice Woods and Joyce Ellerbe; 1 brother, Lloyd Edward Miller. Visitation at First Pentecostal Church of Roseland from 9:00AM until a Celebration of Life Service at 11:00AM on Saturday, February 19, 2022. Services conducted by Rev. David Cutrer and Bro.
