Madge Rose Simeon, a resident of Greensburg, LA, passed away on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at St. Helena Nursing Home in Greensburg, LA. She was born July 11, 1941 in Jena, LA and was 79 years of age. She is survived by her 4 sons, Matthew Simeon and wife Brandy, Mark Simeon and wife Rae Lynn, Luke Simeon and wife Debbie and John Simeon and wife Kacy; grandchildren, Megan Simeon, Kallie Simeon, Kristopher Simeon and wife Brittany, Adam Simeon and wife Brittney, Riley Simeon and wife Shalayne, Hannah Simeon, Julianah Simeon, Jonathan Simeon, Dallas Simeon and wife Karley, Marissa Reames, Zoe Simeon, Braxton Simeon, Haylea Newman and husband Jacob and Jace Glass; great-grandchildren, Kameron Simeon, Kaiden Simeon, Jaiden Daigrepont and one on the way, Konnor Simeon, Baylor and McKenzie Newman, Rilynn and Rhenleigh Simeon, one on the way, Ruby Simeon, Jace and Casen Little; sister, Liz Mapes May; numerous nieces and nephews; long-time  special family friends, Lori Payne and Summer Blades. Preceded in death by her husband, Valmond Simeon; son, Valmond Simeon, Jr.; brother, Tommy Mapes, Jr.; 2 sisters, Carolyn Mapes Taylor and Jackie Mapes Smith; granddaughter, Autumn Simeon. Thursday in traditionally the day that older VBS children have the opportunity to learn how to become a Christian. Many children make a profession of faith in the days, weeks, and months following VBS. Please pray for children as they learn why and how to become a Christian.
