Monday

But from everlasting to everlasting the LORD’s love is with those who fear him,

and his righteousness with their children’s children—

~Psalm 103:17~

There is good news about Joell Miller. She seems to be doing much better.

Today is Memorial Day. https://www.history.com/topics/holidays/memorial-day-history

Memorial Day is an American holiday, observed on the last Monday of May, honoring the men and women who died while serving in the U.S. military. Memorial Day 2021 will occur on Monday, May 31.

Originally known as Decoration Day, it originated in the years following the Civil War and became an official federal holiday in 1971. Many Americans observe Memorial Day by visiting cemeteries or memorials, holding family gatherings and participating in parades. Unofficially, it marks the beginning of the summer season.

As far as I know, I do not have any relatives who died serving our country, but David had an uncle, Hollis Alford, who was killed during WWII and buried in France.

Today is a good day to pray for our country. America needs God, but God doesn’t need America. (paraphrase of something we heard on TV last night). Let’s pray for Americans to focus on having God in their hearts and daily lives.
