Monday

We remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.

1 Thessalonians 1:3

Mrs. Virgie Morgan is better is better and was able to return to her home yesterday. Please continue to keep her and her family in your prayers.

While our state is recovering from Hurricane Laura, we face the possibility of being touched by Hurricane Sally. Get prepared, just in case Sally chooses to visit our area. Pray for those who will have Sally as an uninvited guest this week.

Bro. Stan Statham did some work on old/unused lately generators donated by FBC, Kentwood members. Four of them are already in operation in SE Louisiana. If you have one to donate, please contact FBC at 229-8111. Bro. Stan has also asked for donations of old window air conditioning units.

Due to the forecast of Hurricane Sally hitting our area, those serving in Baptist Disaster Relief in southwest LA were brought home to make preparations here. They will be able to go back to SW LA if the storm hits elsewhere and does little damage here.

Please pray for those who have been evacuated from their homes south of us. Pray for safe travels and finding a suitable place to stay until they can return home.

Pray for people who live along the coast where the storm surge will hit. May they be able to find lodging in on higher ground.

Pray for those who are called into the path of the storm such as police, rescue workers, etc. Pray for their safety as they help others who need help.
