I can relate to some, not all, portions of the articles about missionary parents/grandparents. What a great honor for the family to have members serving internationally! It’s not always easy, but oh, the joy of the reunion we had last week!
We can all serve in out own way. I feel called to do the things I do. I hope you have found your calling too!

Yes, I’m late with The Prayer Link. About this time yesterday, my internet went out. Today, I learned too much pressure had built up. I was able to fix it myself once I was given directions. Who knew an internet line could build up too much pressure?!?!
The world is full of pressures/stress issues. The simple fix is Jesus. I hope you have that “fixed” in your life. If not, I can guide you to the “instruction book”.

Fourth of July
I’m so proud to be an American,
even if we are not perfect people or a perfect country!
May we all learn to turn to God in everything!
You, my brothers, were called to be free.
But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature;
rather, serve one another in love.
The entire law is summed up in a single command:
“Love your neighbor as yourself.
~Galatians 5:13-14~

- “My name is Samia and I am from Bangladesh. Our economic condition is very poor, so my parents cannot afford to buy toys for me. When I heard that I would get a gift box, I was so excited! I could not sleep at night because the excitement to receive the gift box kept me up. Finally my dreams came true and I got my gift. It was a great day for me, and I was so happy! I have lots of toys now that I couldn’t have before. Thank you to all of my foreign friends who sent me the toys and other amazing things!” – Samia, shoebox recipient
- “Esther received her shoebox gift 16 years ago when she was 10, but she still kept the doll. These gifts continue to have long lasting effects on the children who receive them.” – Mary R.

My daughter’s family is not often in patriotic services at church because of where they live. The grandchildren asked if we did the pledge, saw videos about our country, recognized those who served in the military, and sang patriotic much every week. They were impressed!
I’m thankful to be an American and a Christian. Both of those things are the way they are partly because of the place of my birth and the family I was born into. I have been so blessed! I wish everyone could feel that way.
