He is not here; he has risen!

Remember how he told you,

while he was still with you in Galilee

Correction:  The WMU meeting at East Fork is on the 20th, not the 13th.

John Orr‘s surgery Wednesday went well.  He is home in Sulphur Springs, TX now with family staying with him.  He bounces back real well for someone 88.5.  The doctor said the tumor on his bladder would not have given him any trouble for about 15 more years.  The gall bladder was full of stones and should be better now.

Pray for James Frazier.  He goes to Houston Monday for heart valve replacement surgery. Your prayers will be appreciated.

Pray for Shira Easley too.  She will have surgery in Covington Monday, the 19th.  She also would appreciate your prayers.

Sherry Smith Sasson is doing very well following her surgery.  She is at home.

I’ve been counting my blessings this Easter season and writing them daily all 2015. Visiting and waiting in a hospital for a day gives me more needs to pray for and more blessings to count.  I’m sure you feel the same way.  Be thankful if you are healthy.  Be thankful if you were raised to know and accept that “Firm Foundation”.

Frozen Food for Families

Take some time to put up some food in your freezer to share tomorrow or look through what you have on hand to share.  Bring it to my Sunday School classroom at FBC, K  before Sunday School in the morning.  The food will be given to the families tomorrow. Thanks for helping meet some needs.

Please add John Orr to your prayer list.  He was married to my Aunt Naomi.  Early Friday morning he thought he had a new heart problem, but tests yesterday did not show a heart issue.  He will have gall bladder tests next week.

Also, add Mr. Frankie Gehringer if he is not already on your list.  In addition to his ongoing problems, he got tripped and has an ankle problem.

I hope this Easter season contains time to recognize and celebrate what Jesus did for each of us and how that affects us today.   I hope you also have an opportunity to share/pass on the meaning of the Easter season.

Happy Easter because He arose from the grave!

  • Inspiration Park will host a sunrise service at 7 A.M. Easter morning.  I hope you will be able to attend.  It’s great to be able to celebrate this special day with people from many area churches.  The service will end at 8 A.M. so you will not be late for your own church service.
  • Many area church will have special services with music, drama, skits, etc. prepared for Easter morning.  Check with the church of your choice for the time.
  • Most area churches will not have any services/activities Sunday night this week.
  • FBC, K is in need to two volunteers for the nursery during the first service.  Call the church office if you are available.
  • The Friday morning Bible study at FBC, K will not meet this week.
  • “Walk with the Cross” will begin at Crossroads BBQ at 9:00 Saturday and walk into town.  You are invited to join others from area churches in honoring the real reason for the Easter season.

Betty Taylor has an eye problem that requires routine injections.  Pray for her as she continues to see a doctor about every six weeks.  Her doctor retired, so she is adjusting to a new doctor.

You may have noticed you don’t see Jimmy  Schwartz out and about as in the past.  He appreciates calls and visits though.

Keith Allen and Renee Deck Harrell both had back procedures.  Keith is able to get our some, but Renee is a little slower recovering from surgery and getting around.  Please say special prayers for her.

Kenneth Birch is continuing to have back issues.  He is home and hoping to feel some improvement.

Please continue to pray for Beverly Blackwell.  She is improving.
