Margaret Jean Redmond
April 05, 1937 – February 20, 2019
Margaret Jean Redmond passed away on February 20, 2019. Margaret was born in Grenada, Mississippi on April 5, 1937. She was a lifelong resident of Greensburg, Louisiana. She was retired and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She loved classic movies and to read, cook and host holidays for her family. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Franklin W. Redmond of Greensburg, Louisiana. Margaret had two sons, Frank Redmond, a resident of Prairieville, Louisiana and Paul Redmond, a resident of Lafayette, Louisiana. Margaret had two grandsons, Collin Redmond of Prairieville, and Matthew Redmond who preceded her in death and will embrace his grandma again in heaven. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. There will be a memorial service for her at McKneely Funeral Home in Kentwood, Louisiana on Saturday, March 2 from 1:00 until 4:00.
Alton “Earl” Warren, Jr.

Alton “Earl” Warren, Jr., an accountant, bookkeeper, and resident of Roseland, LA, passed away at 8:30AM on Monday, February 25, 2019 at North Oaks Medical Center in Hammond, LA. He was born November 21, 1947 and was 71 years of age. He is survived by his brother, Michael Warren, Sr. and wife, Kathy; 3 nephews, Michael Warren, Jr. and wife, Jessica, Jason Warren, Sr., and Adam Warren and fiance, Charlie; four great-nieces, Destiny, Cheyenne, McKenzie, and Nellie Belle; a great-nephew, Jason Warren, Jr.; all of Roseland. Earl was a friend to many people and leaves behind an extended family, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alton and Mary Dee Warren. A resident of Roseland, LA, passed away on Monday, February 25, 2019 at his home. He was born October 17, 1937 in Amite, LA and was 81 years of age. He was a United States Air Force Veteran of Vietnam where he received a Bronze Star. He is survived by wife, Bettie Joe Miller; 1 daughter, Lindsey Phillips and husband, Robert; 2 sons, Ivy D. Miller and wife, Rhonda, and Glenn L. Miller, Jr.; 1 sister, JoAnn Hartner; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Eric Dwayne Lee, age 51 of Kentwood, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Monday, February 25, 2019 after a year-long battle with cancer and is now in the presence of Jesus. Eric was born in February 13, 1968 to Bennie Ray and Margaret Lee in Greensburg, LA. He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years and high school sweetheart who never left his side, Melissa Blanchard Lee; his oldest son, Ross and wife Carla and their 2 children, Sophia and Easton; his second son, Brady and wife Loren and their 2 children, Bradyn and Avery; his daughter, Sarah and husband Kevin Maddox and their 2 children, Owen and MK. He is also survived by his parents, Bennie Ray and Margaret Lee; his brother, Todd Lee and wife Rhonda; his sister, Carmen Varnado and husband Jimmy; and his loving in-laws and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Horace “Buster” Eugene Lee, Juanita Leona Perryman Lee, JK “Shorty” Webb, and Neva Bryant Webb. Eric, known to many as “Fuddy”, was an employee of the Department of Agriculture for 24 years. He could be found on the weekends golfing with friends, fishing with his sons and grandkids, or cooking for his family. He never missed a soccer or baseball game and enjoyed spending time with his family. He always had a smile on his face, gave the sweetest hugs and made the best sweet potato casserole. Visitation will be at Spring Creek Baptist Church, Kentwood, from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Thursday and from 9 a.m. until religious services at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 1, 2019. Betty Anderson Carter
January 08, 1933 – February 25, 2019
Betty Anderson Carter passed away on February 25, 2019, at the age of 86 years. She was born on January 8, 1933, and was a native and lifelong resident of Greensburg and St. Helena Parish, Louisiana. She was the last of eleven children of James M. Anderson and Florence Wooten Anderson. Betty was a graduate of Greensburg High School and was a legal secretary for 24 years, retiring in 1982 to travel extensively with her husband. She remained a licensed Notary Public until her death. She is survived by one son, William Anderson Carter of Greensburg, LA.; one daughter, Belinda Carter Sanchez and her husband, Dr. Gayle Sanchez of Baton Rouge, LA.; three loving granddaughters, Claire Carter Sanchez of New Orleans, LA.; Jill Adrienne Sanchez of New Orleans, LA.; and Lesley Gayle Sanchez Gilfillan and her husband, Todd Gilfillan of Austin, TX., and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years, William B. “Billy Carter, her parents, Jim and Florence Anderson; three brothers, Bill, Ed and J. C. Anderson; seven sisters, Lillie Henderson, Nellie Anderson, Myrtle Dreher, Amanda Saint, Margaret Miller, Leona Settoon, and Kathryn Anderson. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 o’clock P.M. on Wednesday February 27, 2019, at McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, LA.
