Disaster Relief

Other needs

I just talked with Bro. Bill who serves as the associate pastor of FBC Moore Oklahoma. In addition to the supplies we are collecting he said they really need masks-the type you wear when cutting grass. They also need shovels. If you are led please bring them to one of our drop off locations. If you have questions please call me at 985-515-4368. -Bro. Stan

We do not know what to do, but we look to you for help.”

~2 Chronicles 20:12 GNT~

Mr. Kenneth Felker has been hospitalized again.  He will go Tuesday to get a port so they do not have to stick him so much.

Tuesday is also the day for some other events you might want to remember in prayer.

  • Robbie Lynn‘s surgery at Baptist Hospital in Jackson
  • Don Schneeweiss’ sister’s kidney transplant
  • Youth chicken lunch from Smokehouse Bar-B-Q (11-1) with pickup at the church or Glynn’s
  • “Young” ladies birthday party at Nyla’s at 11:00 A.M.

I love to see pictures of people standing in prayer while holding hands in the midst of rubble left by a tornado.  Let’s not wait until a disaster hits before we do what God has called us to do.

Wednesday Addition

From Jana C. Creel

Can you please put Sarah Kyzar Kimble on the prayer link? She is from this area and is in North Oaks and not doing good. That is all I know. I was just asked if I could get you to add her name.

Thank you!!

Also, add Mrs. Jerrie Pulliam to your prayer list.  Her son said she got her feet tangled.  She’s in room 24 at Hood Memorial undergoing tests.

Wednesday

“These trials will show that your faith is genuine.

It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold.”

~1 Peter 1:7a NLT~

Mrs. Ruby Luke greatly enjoyed her first day back at home.  There’s no place like home.  Thank God for his improvement and ability to be back where she belongs.

Missions – Continue to pray for the people of OK and those who are volunteering to help them recover from the EF5 tornado.  Be sure to get your donations in to FBC, Amite or the designated place nearest you.  I’ve just heard about Southern Baptist Disaster Relief twice in the last five minutes on television.  I’m thankful our work is available in times of need and meaningful to many families.  Especially pray for chaplains who will also be deployed.  May they use this awful event to help people find the Lord.
