PLEASE BE IN PRAYER FOR ALL THE PEOPLE IN THE UKRAINE.

Pray for those fighting, traveling out of the country, caring for those behind, sharing the Word, caring for the injured, hiding in a “bomb shelter”, caring for children, receiving people in neighboring countries, preparing food to share, trying to get groceries into the country, and the list goes on and on. PRAY!

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD WORKSHOP

We will be working Saturday morning to pack pencil bags and to prepare items for placement in “Shoeboxes”. Believe me, there is a job for everyone! We need those who can count items, cut tags, take items out of packaging, sharpen pencils, repackage items, sort items by age groups/sizes, cut paper dolls, stuff toys, bag marbles, etc. Come. We’ll find a job for you.

We will meet at 9:00 Saturday in the Fellowship Hall at FBC, Kentwood. One of the best rewards will be getting to know people you don’t know. Come be a part of something that reaches out to children around the world.

Jesus replied, “Truly I tell you,

if you have faith and do not doubt,

not only can you do what was done to the fig tree,

but also you can say to this mountain,

‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’

Annie Armstrong Week of Prayer for North American Missions

The Week of Prayer for North American missions is annually observed by SBC churches to pray for missionaries, their ministries and their families. Prayer is the fuel for spiritually sustaining missionaries in places where the gospel is greatly needed, but often opposed.

The official date is the first Sunday in March through the second Sunday. This year it is March 6-13, 2022. Your church can choose this date or another time during the Easter season to participate. The offering goal for this year is $70 million.

Day One – Sunday

Don’t forget to share an invitation for the Annie Armstrong Tea at FBC, Greensburg Saturday at 10 A.M. and the OCC, “Shoebox” workshop at FBC, Kentwood at 9 A.M Saturday. Sometimes, there are hard choices to make. David and I will be at the OCC workshop.

Don’t forget to pray!

Saturday

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

~Galatians 5:22-23~

Request from Jan Hammons

Please add Darrell’s friend and former pastor, Dr. Michael Hawley, retired pastor from Ponchatoula, to the prayer link.  He has a large growth on the artery from the kidney to the heart.  He is seeing a surgeon today (Friday).  Thanks.

Please pray for all the people with colds due to the changing weather conditions. Colds can make people miserable and return again and again.

I read some comments from OCC shoebox packers that said they had received thank-you notes from children in the Ukraine who have already received shoeboxes. It is comforting to know the shoeboxes have already impacted lives of children and families there. Many of the Ukraine have strong religious beliefs. Let’s pray that faith helps the people through these difficult days.

Prayers and actions impact lives. Remember this quote – “Put feet to your prayers.” Do that today!
