There will be no Third Thursday Meeting this month.  David will have another eye surgery tomorrow.  We will meet next month on the Third Thursday.

Jeana Russell Lee-Newman’s doctor suggested she NOT have surgery this week because it would be too dangerous to her life.  Pray for future decisions that will be made.

Jerry Doughty has just returned from M.D. Anderson with a good report.  Thank God for that good report.

Jane Wickham came home from knee surgery.  It seems to have gone smoothly this time.  Pray for Jane as she recovers.

Mrs. Ruby Dillon continues to improve.  Thank you for all your prayers for her.

Ora Lee Wilson’s brother had a successful surgery today.  Pray for him as other issues are addressed.

Carol McDaniel Russell, formerly of Russelltown, has West Nile Virus.  She has been very sick for a couple weeks and faces at least that much more time of sickness.  Your prayers for her are warmly appreciated.

Please continue to pray for David and me as the retina specialist works on David’s eye tomorrow.  Pray he can successfully remove the cataract.

Bro. Tommy Smith of FBC, Greensburg will be conduction the funeral service for his grandmother in Florida tomorrow.  I know he will appreciate your prayer support.

 

Thank you to all who prepared and/or served food for the family of Mrs. Hazel Smith yesterday.  I know the family was thrilled by your service for then in honor of their mother/grandmother/sister/etc.

The Ordination of Wendell Rhodus into the Gospel Ministry last night was probably the most special ordination I have ever attended .  Wendall has overcome so much to get to where he is now.  God had and has plans for Wendell’s life.  Pray for Him as he continues this ministry.

 

 

Please pray for Mrs. Sis Cox of Greensburg.  She will be having surgery at Ochsner  in New Orleans on the 21st.  She is a sister to Mrs. Velma Anthony and a precious lady.

Please pray extra prayers for Jeana Lee-Newman today has she has a very serious surgery.  She is the daughter of Ricky and Brenda Russell of Chrsbrough.

Pray for Jane Wickham as she has another knee surgery today.  Pray her new knee will be the solution she has been searching for.

Pray for Mrs. Ruby Dillon as she sees her eye doctor tomorrow.  Pray she gets a good report on the last procedure she had.

Pray for Mrs. Grace Chadwick of Roseland who is in the hospital again.

Justin Lamber continues to have ups and downs following the motorcycle last week.  Pray for him and his family, please.

Thank you for your prayers for Ruthie Dykes.  She improved enough to be released from the hospital.  Pray for continued improvement.

Please pray for a former resident of this area, Carol McDaniel Russell of Russelltown, east of Arcola.  Her sister, Stella, requests prayer for Carol who now lives in the Texas panhandle.

Chris Lambert continues to show “recognition” of family members.  Keep praying for him.

Ruthie Dykes is still improving with lots of antibiotics at Hood Memorial.  Keep praying for her.

The Montpelier Baptist Church mission team is home.  I’m thankful they gave of their time and of their hearts.  They will never fully know the impact they made on lives this week.  May God multiply their efforts and prepare their hearts to go serve again.

Wanda Smith has shingles.  Pray it will be a light and short-term situation for her.

Earlo Labauve, father of Sharon Martin, has fractured his hip and is in North Oaks.

Pray for David as he has another follow-up appointment on the eye that had the cataract removed.  He also has an appointment Monday.

Operation Christmas Child – You are welcome to visit the church today to get cards from the OCC wreaths.  Each card gives a specific need for the shoeboxes we will be packing and will probably cost $10 or less to make the purchases, depending on where you shop.  Additional cards will be added the first Sunday of June.

The Ichter – Greenwich family includes multiple generations of missionaries and MK’s.

Rev. Bill Ichter fell at church Sunday night and fractured his pelvis.  There are family complications including  a new baby arriving soon.  Pray for Alana as she helps care for her parents and helps with her grand-babies too.

Pray for David as he has cataract surgery number one today.

Andy Taylor continues to rest at home. Betty said he has seen some improvement already.  Keep praying for Andy and Betty.

Kody Walker is walking, mostly with a walker.  He is taking a lot of physical therapy, but has just been released to be at home.  He is so thankful to be alive and appreciates all your prayers.

Margaret “Cissy” Oliver had some complications during her procedure and will be at OLOL for a few extra days.

Mrs. Theople Hurst is home from visiting her son.  She will be caring for her sister Patsy soon.  Pray for all of that family as they have two with serious surgery at the same time.

J.C. Miller accidentally cut off part of a finger.  He is doing well.  Pray he has no infection to slow down the healing.

Mrs. Catherine Yarborough has been in North Oaks.  She will returning to Kentwood soon.  Please pray for her and her family.

J.D. Smith will be having a procedure on his back at 9:40 this morning in Hammond.  This is an outpatient surgery.  Donna will be with her dad.

Frima Kay Schneeweiss continues to  need our prayers for her kidney stone problem.  She appreciates the prayers on her behalf.

Jeff Tolar will have back surgery on May 3.  This will be the second back surgery for him.  Begin praying now, please.

Jimmy Alford will get the results of the CAT scan which will show whether or not the liver ablation was helpful.  Please pray.
