Continue to pray for Mr. Gordon Price. He will be leaving rehab soon. Pray for his caregivers too.
Mr. Robert Frohn’s surgery went well today. If he does well tonight, he may be able to return home tomorrow. Keep praying for him and for “Miss” Jennie.
Dan Turner may be able to be released from the rehab hospital in a couple weeks. He will continue rehab when he gets home. Pray for his family as they have been with him since the accident. Pray for rest for each one of them.
Mr. Billy Travis, a resident of the 6th Ward, passed away Monday night. Please be in prayer for “Miss” Doris and the other members of the family.

My brother, Robert Frohn will be having carotoid surgery tomorrow morning at 11 a.m. FB friends please pray for him to have no compliations. His two brothers, Dick and Bill and daughter Alison will be with him. Nancy Frohn and I will be with Jennie (Frohn) who is now at Hood’s Hospital. Please continue to pray for her too.
Donald and Jane Duncan request continue prayers for their son-in-law, Brian Dugas, who has pneumonia again and has lost a lot of weight.
Frances M. Gay requests prayer for a friend, Jim Walley, who will have lung surgery in Baton Rouge. Pray the doctor can identify his problem.
Jesse Dean will have carpal tunnel outpatient surgery Friday at North Oaks. Please be in pray for the surgery and for the recovery time.

The women’s retreat was blessed with about 65 ladies, a crew of chefs in the kitchen, and a speaker who said she intended to give us a “spiritual spa day”. Ask around and get some comments from different people.
Mr. Billy Travis is not doing well. Pray for his family tonight as they sit by his side.
Mr. Kenneth Felker has been hospitalized in Greensburg and Hammond. He’s home. Pray for improvement.

Lucille Ball Varnado, 101, died Aug. 6, 2012, in South Carolina.Memorial services are 11 a.m. Saturday at Osyka Baptist Church. The Rev. Milton Kliesch will officiate. Burial will be in Osyka Cemetery under the direction of Hartman-Sharkey Funeral Home.Mrs. Varnado was born Feb. 28, 1911, in the Thompson community, to Iddo Wesley and Ada Alford Ball.She married Glen Varnado Sr. in 1937, and they had one son, Glen Varnado Jr.Mrs. Varnado was a school teacher for more than 50 years and taught in Osyka, where classes in her last years included grandchildren of her first pupils, as well as in Fernwood and Harrisville, Chesbrough, La., Indian Head, Md., and Parklane Academy.Because of Mrs. Varnado’s teaching achievements, Parklane named the library in her honor.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, four brothers and two sisters.She is survived by her son, 28 nieces and nephews and more than 2,000 former pupils.In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a local school in honor of Mrs. Varnado

Continue to pray for Betty Taylor’s mother, Mrs. Zeigler. As you pray for her, pray for her caregivers.
Pray real hard today for the ladies’ retreat that will be at FBC, Kentwood tomorrow. Pray for the speaker to be healthy, the environment to be conducive to learning, our hearts to be open, and for them men who will be giving of themselves by preparing out lunch.

A resident of Amite, he died at 11:40 a.m. on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at his residence. He was born February 20, 1945 in Amite and was 67 years of age. He was a U. S. Army Veteran Vietnam. Visitation at McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, from 9 a.m. until religious services at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 26, 2013. Services conducted by Rev. Gibbie McMillan. Interment Shady Grove Cemetery, Amite. Survived by, father, Ivy Ridgedell, Sr; daughter, Kimberly Kaiser and husband, Jeff; step-daughter, Angela Hurst; son, Donald Ridgedell; sister, Margaret Cutrer; 2 brothers, Ivy W. Wednesday Update/Additions
Jill Brister is out of surgery. All seems to have gone well. Now, begin to pray for Jill’s recovery from surgery and improvement.
The men and women of the local national guard have completed their first round of training and are home for a brief period before going to another location for training. They will be headed to Afghanistan in the coming months. Pray for them and their families. Thank them when you see them and thank the people who honored them in Bogalusa yesterday.
Mrs. Margaret (Fred) Roberts passed away this morning. Arrangements are 6-9 tonight in Kentwood and funeral tomorrow from 9-11 at Spring Creek Baptist Church. Please be in pray for the family.
