Continue to pray for our country as we move closer to election day.
Operation Christmas Child is one of the greatest mission projects we do at FBC, Kentwood. During the last few months, we have collected socks, hats, notebooks, flashlights, erasers, dolls, brushes, and many other items that we will pack into shoeboxes Saturday at 6 P.M. Yesterday, we did one of our final tasks, filling zipper storage bags with candy. I thank all who supplied candy and those who came to put the candy into bags. What fun it is to think of children opening their boxes and finding their bags of candy and lots of other things. Most of all, I’m thankful we are packing Jesus into each box and providing children with the opportunity to learn about Jesus through classes that will be taught in the following weeks. See you Saturday!
Thank you for reading and praying. Also, thank you for all you do!

Stan Williams, son of J.L. and Wanzie WIlliams, traveled to Houston yesterday and will begin a week of treatment while hospitalized at M.D. Anderson. Then, he will come home until time for the next treatment, until he has completed six treatments. (Thanks to David Brabham for the update.) . Please pray for Stan and his family as he is treated for lymphoma.

David and I got to briefly visit Linda K. Graves yesterday afternoon in Kentwood. Linda was released from Ochsner yesterday, after having two procedures which will hopefukky work for her. She was home long enough to pack her things to go to live with her sister in Mandeville. Linda cannot be alone in case her problem returns. She has a wonderful attitude. David was able to lead us in a sweet prayer. She reminded me that she will be only a phone call away.

Pray for America and the elections in a couple of weeks.
Pray for my classmate, Pam Lewis Hollifield, who has fallen and had to have a hip replacement. She grew up at Arcola and now lives in Amite.
Lilyon Brister (Updated Obituary) David told me she was probably Dwaine Creel’s aunt, not his sister. I also must admit I always thought her name was “Lillian”.

I know you have noticed the drop in temperatures. Didn’t God have a wonderful plan to bring smiles and happiness to us this time of the year?

Linda K. Graves of East Fork said she will have another procedure in the morning. That may tell doctors what they need to do next. Keep praying. (Betty Simpson reminded me this morning of the solo Linda sang at the WMU meeting Monday. It was “Pray for Me”!)
Shira Easley is now in Greensburg for the next 21 days to get her built up and ready for the next step. Pray for her too.
Please pray for Linda Frazier’s sister, Ann Whitman, who is hospitalized in Ruston.

I have a confession to make. I dearly love teaching Children in Action (missions) and helping boys and girls learn and do missions. They are excited about helping to pack the shoeboxes on the 29th. They have already spent their mission offering money to purchase needed items and given their efforts in preparing some of the items such as the school boxes that will be going in the boxes. Plan to be a part of a wonderful night. Wear your Christmas colors, bring a Christmas snack, and put on a big smile. Your heart will be warmed! We are still collecting individually wrapped hard candy. It will be very helpful to have your donation in by Sunday.
Tonight, we gather at the cabin for our monthly Third Thursday gathering. I look forward to seeing many of you tonight at 6:30.

I have heard several different hospitals named for Shira Easley‘s location, but the latest one is from Glenda Harrell, Shira’s first cousin. She says Shira is still in St. Tammany, but is being released this afternoon or in the morning to come to Greensburg for 21 days. Pray for her. Visit if you get a chance.
