and increases the power of the weak.

I’m happy to tell you that Mrs. Margaret “Sis” Oliver is back at church following a hospital procedure/surgery.  Thank the Lord she is back with us.

MS Trooper Mitch Chappell is now home.  He was injured in an accident while working.  Please be in prayer for him and his family as his healing continues at home.

Mr. Fernie Ray Gill called when he got home last night.  He gave me two updates to share.  He is thankful you are praying!

  • “Miss” Carol Jean Gill required brain surgery yesterday.  It was done via angiogram at OLOL!  She was doing well, but was required to stay overnight for observation.  The brain aneurysm had changed and called for medical treatment at this time.  Thank God for an alert and skilled doctor.
  • “Miss” Gail Pittman McDaniel is in North Oaks Rehab following her brain surgery last week.  Pray for her as she gets stronger so she can return to Kentwood.

Saturday Evening for Sunday Morning

The bad weather in the morning will probably make my satellites not work, so I am posting early.  If I can, I will update.

The name of the LORD is a fortified tower;

the righteous run to it and are safe.

Carl Wayne Stevens is home again and doing better.  Please keep praying for him.

Pray for all those who had storm damage early Saturday morning in the Hattisburg/Petal, Mississippi area.  I’m so thank for members of East Fork who helped today to make it safer for those who live there.  May God watch over each of you as you represent Him.

Pine Ridge United Methodist Church will have their monthly breakfast to benefit a needy family.  Tomorrow’s meal will benefit the Miller family who recently lost their home in a fire.

Kentwood will begin at day with a breakfast for men and boys as part of men’s day.

“You have been believers so long now that you ought to be teaching others.

Instead, you need someone to teach you again the basic things about God’s word.

You are like babies who need milk and cannot eat solid food.”

Thursday

You will keep in perfect peace

those whose minds are steadfast,

because they trust in you.

Jeffrey Brister is progressing following his knee and shoulder surgeries.  Pray for the pain he has to ease a little more.

Luther Terrell is back home.  His surgery was less complicated than expected, which is a good thing.

Tish Fairburn and Gail Pittman McDaniel are both scheduled to return to Kentwood today if all continues to go well for them today.

Pray for Gloria Gill as she sees her cardiologist today.  Her A-fib was improving with the drip medication.

Third Thursday – Tonight at the Alford cabin at 6:30 P.M.

I read that Mike Pence is going to have the Bible open to II Chronicles 7:14 tomorrow when he is sworn in as vice-president.

But they make themselves humble in my sight.

They pray and look to me.

And they turn from their evil ways.

Then I will listen to them from heaven.

I will forgive their sin.

And I will heal their land.

After all,

they are my people.

Hymn of the Day – Sung at church last night – “Set My Soul Afire”

I think that is a perfect request for the beginning of a new day.

Wednesday
