Sunday

So then, brothers and sisters, stand firm

and hold fast to the teachings we passed on to you,

whether by word of mouth or by letter

Mr. John Phillips will be at North Oaks for a few more days.  Keep praying for him.

Jason attended the funeral for his friend Bobby Black yesterday.  David and I would love to tell you a little about Bobby and his awesome life.  His service yesterday reflected the awesome witness Bobby was and was held in a packed mega-church.  Bobby accomplished much in his 43 years and impacted so many lives!

David and I attended the wake for Mrs. Willene Howell yesterday.  Her life was simple and focused on God and family.  She impacted her family and friends with her love and the sweet love she had for her Jesus.  She join her husband in Heaven just a few short days after his arrival there.

Tonight at 7 P.M. on Fox News, a program, “Passion”, will be broadcast live from New Orleans.  The ads show a modern day interpretation of some of the life of Jesus.  It could possibly be instrumental in the lives of many people.  I’m going to give it some of my time.  You may want to check it our too.

Mt. Nebo Baptist Church and pastor’s home have made more progress in recovery from the 2016 flood.  Give them some support with time, money, meals, etc.

Yesterday was a difficult weather day.  Thankfully, we in this area did not have any significant problems, but hundreds of people in areas close to our area did.  Please pray for them and then work to help they in they way God wants you to help – prayer, finances, clean-up, rebuilding, yard work, food, etc.  Ask.  God will lead you.

I’m thankful to hear that several local churches have new staff members this week.  May God richly bless both the staff members and the churches.

I’ve been delayed this morning because of yesterday’s weather.  I’m back now!

For God so loved the world

that he gave his one and only Son,

that whoever believes in him

shall not perish but have eternal life.

The key words – “whoever believes in Him”

If-then statement:

If – believe

Then – eternal life

That doesn’t sound complicated!

Jadon’s Journey

Jadon went for his test today at Children’s Hospital. We haven’t been there in a long time bc we see his neurologist at the Metairie clinic. As we walked in his hand held my hand tight and he got very quiet. I was quickly reminded of how much time we use to spend there, how scared we were, the many tears cried, and how sick Jadon once was. I then realized it has been 4 years since the last time he was put in the hospital. The place we use to call our 2nd home is now a distant memory. We did run into one of his nurses who use to take care of him, the lady that use to push him around telling everyone to have a blessed day (such a ray of sunshine to everyone), and we stopped by to see our favorite nurse in Dr. Weimer’s office. It was great to see all of them bc they all took such great care of Jadon but today it hit me just how thankful I am for Jadon’s health. He is doing things we thought he would never be able to do. Thank you God for always being by our side in the good times and the bad.
