Mrs. Annie Bell Harrell is better.  Phyllis is still staying with her.  Mr. Phillip is still at Greensburg and slowly improving.  Keep praying, please.

Bettye Fussell was set to come home yesterday.  I know home will look so good to her. Please continue to pray for her.

 

Joe Crowe of Bolivar passed away yesterday.  I’ll post arrangements when they are available.  Please pray for Susanne and other family members.

Sunday Night – FBC, Kentwood – Concert by the Richards – 6 P.M.  (I’ve never heard or heard of this group, but I understand this couple sings wonderfully.) . You are invited to join us for the free concert.

Don’t forget to collect the used PAPERBACK Bibles for the jail ministry.  There is a box under the stairwell or bring your own box.  New PAPERBACK Bibles are also appreciated.

Monday, March 6th – Associational WMU Meeting at FBC, Greensburg at 10:00 to learn about the Annie Armstrong focus  for 2017 – Potluck lunch/Fellowship to follow.  Everyone is welcome whether you participate in WMU or not.  You can bring your PAPERBACK Bibles when your come.

Continue to pray for Bettye Fussell, please.  She may possibly be able to come home Friday.  Pray for a good day for her today.

Estelle Raborn in home.  Pray for her and her husband, Bobby, as they continue her long battle.

Phillip Strickland is in the waiting stage between treatment and surgery.  Please pray for him and his family.

Andy Boone continues to be at Ochsner.  Your continuing prayers will be appreciated.

David got good news from his electro physiologist (heart specialist who did David’s ablations) yesterday.  David had done well since the last ablations and was released unless he needs the doctor again .

Mrs. Othell Williams stays at home most of the time.  She has been blessed to have sons to stay with her and help her daily.  Loren is staying now.  Johnny, who lives nearby, checks daily.  Please pray for “Miss” Othell.

The Harrrells, both Mr. Phillip and “Miss” Annie Bell, showed improvement yesterday.  I hope the flu goes completely away for both of them today.

Bettye Fussell did get her first treatment yesterday.  She is still in Ochsner on Jefferson Highway.  Keep Bettye and her family in your prayers.

Gail Morris Smith has been taking double treatments for three weeks.  Today she is taking the last one.  Let’s thank God, with her and her family, that the treatments have been completed.

Bobby Forbes had a typical “third day after surgery” which means he’s improving, but with a few issues that are being addressed.

Frances Gay will have her “third day after surgery” today.  Let’s pray she has a good day.

Wednesday Evening

There will be no Third Thursday Meeting this month.  David will have another eye surgery tomorrow.  We will meet next month on the Third Thursday.

Jeana Russell Lee-Newman’s doctor suggested she NOT have surgery this week because it would be too dangerous to her life.  Pray for future decisions that will be made.

Jerry Doughty has just returned from M.D. Anderson with a good report.  Thank God for that good report.

Jane Wickham came home from knee surgery.  It seems to have gone smoothly this time.  Pray for Jane as she recovers.

Mrs. Ruby Dillon continues to improve.  Thank you for all your prayers for her.

Ora Lee Wilson’s brother had a successful surgery today.  Pray for him as other issues are addressed.

Carol McDaniel Russell, formerly of Russelltown, has West Nile Virus.  She has been very sick for a couple weeks and faces at least that much more time of sickness.  Your prayers for her are warmly appreciated.

Please continue to pray for David and me as the retina specialist works on David’s eye tomorrow.  Pray he can successfully remove the cataract.

Bro. Tommy Smith of FBC, Greensburg will be conduction the funeral service for his grandmother in Florida tomorrow.  I know he will appreciate your prayer support.

 

Thank you to all who prepared and/or served food for the family of Mrs. Hazel Smith yesterday.  I know the family was thrilled by your service for then in honor of their mother/grandmother/sister/etc.

My family has been plotting for a couple months to surprise us.  They did!!!! Mid-afternoon yesterday, my sister showed up with Jennie!  She has been at a conference in Denver for over a week and decided on a side trip to Kentwood for a few days before returning to her family.  David and I were SHOCKED, but very pleased to see her!  Thank to all who helped with the cover-up!  Special thanks to my son-in-law who not only allowed her to be gone for two weeks, but who is keeping everything in the household going with four children, a dog, and new job responsibilities!

I had a call last night to ask us to pray for Mrs. Mary Nell Kliesch who was moved to a rehab in Hammond.

Susie Sharkey has traveled to North Carolina to be with her dad who is seriously ill.  Pray for Susie and other family members.

Mr. James Miller got a good report from his doctor.  He will need to return in a month for another check-up.

Mrs. Grace Chadwick is not doing as well as before.  Please pray for her  family during this time.

Today is the day to visit the Estay family and celebrate Claire Estay who has already gone to heaven.  You can visit Landon, Alicia, and other family members from 2-4 P.M. today at FBC, Kentwood.

Tonight, and tomorrow night, at 6 P.M., you can return to the church for “Majesty of Christmas” as presented by the combined choirs of FBC and EFBC.

Reminder – Tomorrow morning at 8:00,  you can be a part of something important.  Pine Ridge does a monthly breakfast.  Donations go to help with a need the ladies select.  This month, the Methodist Children’s Home will receive our donations.  Come enjoy a full breakfast bar, meet some new friends, and support a need for children.

 

Christmas is a time of giving.  God did that first by giving his only Son for us.  This year, focus more on giving.  You can never give more than He did.  The more you give, the more you will be blessed.
