Dan Turner

Prayer request: Tomorrow, I will begin a 2-day medical trial to determine whether or not I am a candidate for a surgical procedure to help with a complication that has evolved since my brain injury on Dec. 8, 2012. After I was discharged from the hospital, I was overwhelmed and very appreciative of everyone’s’ prayers and support during the toughest days of my life. I’m nervous and cautiously optimistic. My sincere thanks to you all.

Saturday

Let us fix our eyes on Jesus,

the author and perfecter of our faith,

who for the joy set before him endured the cross,

scorning its shame,

and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Sammy Broyles
I saw Sheila yesterday.  She said Sammy is in physical therapy now which will, hopefully, maintain the movement he has.  Pray for all the family as they continue to “travel this road”.

    • Chorus:
I am satisfied, I am satisfied,

Friday Morning Bible Study

Yesterday, in Chick-Fil-A, I witnessed something I have never seen before at any restaurant or other place of business.  A worker was praying with a customer!  The young man is on fire for God.  This causes me to ask this question, “Why is this the very first time I have seen this?”.  We were impressed when we talked with him later.

Let’s use this day to answer the question, “Is My Master Satisfied with Me?”.

Evening of the Fourth

Rev. Tim Jones, Sr.  (Written by his wife, Freida)

My sweetheart, Tim Jones Sr, died Friday night after a tree he was cutting fell on him. Part of me died with him. We were married for 43+ years. We had our ups and downs, but with God’s help we were one. We often would say the same thing together and finish each others sentences. I know he is in a much better place, but oh, the pain I feel right now. Your prayers are much appreciated for Brad Jones, Tim Jones, and myself.
