Quote that I ran across yesterday –

Love the people

God gave you

Because He will

Need them back

One day.

I have a long list of people I have loved who no longer walk the face of this earth.  Some were family member, but others were special friends.  Once they are gone from this earth, I can only plan to see them in heaven one day, but when I get there it will be wonderful to again see all of these people who touched my life.  We have to invest our lives in others to realize how important they are to us.

Oh, what precious memories I cherish!

Anna Lee

Thursday

”Grow in spiritual strength and become better acquainted with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.”

~ Peter 3:18 TLB~

I have some prayer requests sent to me yesterday that will remain unspoken.  I feel that including them today will remind us that sometimes people have prayer requests that must remain vague to others, but which is perfectly clear to the person who asks for prayer.

Pray for Cheryl Wilson and her family.  Surgery went well, but the future is unclear.  Help the family to keep trusting and following God.

Linda Frazier requests pray for two people who will be having surgery.  They are Dr. Bob Cleveland and Josh Gordon.

Two ladies I’ve know for many years passed away yesterday.  Mrs. Grace Chadwick knew my family before I was born.  She and her family have been a part of my life as we raised our family and attended Roseland Baptist Church.  Mrs. Martha Traylor/Dykes has been in my life about thirty years.  She is best know for her family, including her son Phillip Cole, sometimes called “Philco”.I also knew her as a grandmother to a student and as a neighbor . I’m sure both of these ladies are in heaven celebrating today.

Read the Bible

  • Isaiah 60
  • Psalms 116

Your prayers are important in your lives and in the lives of others.  God hears them all.

Sunday, FBC, Kentwood will be sharing videos of some of our parents of children who have been impacted by missions.  You will want to see them Sunday and/or watch the clips online.

I wonder what opportunities each of us will have today to share our faith.  It may not be videoed for public viewing, but I’m sure that together we can impact our area for the Lord.  Some of these encounters will be planned, but some will happen spontaneously.  Either way, thank you for sharing your faith today.

Josiah Huckaby (Written by his mother Friday)

Well…yesterday Josiah had his 1st surgery since being discharged from the hospital. Along with the removal of his stent from his previous surgery. It was planned to be an outpatient procedure and they would decide during recovery whether or not he needed to be admitted over night. HE ROCKED IT!!! He did great during surgery & only had to stay in recovery for about 2 hours (the norm is 1 hr but with his medical history they planned on several hours). The only pain meds he is getting is Tylenol & Motrin. He is such a little trooper & is always amazing us with how well he handles everything. We are praying for a speedy recovery, healing of his incision sites, and that we can keep his pain under control. He also is pretty confined to his back right now…and he would much rather be on his side, stomach, or rolling around. So hopefully we can keep him entertained without too much movement until he is feeling a little less tender from the surgery. To God be the glory!!! 💙

Yesterday, we went to two wakes between 9 and 11 A.M. in two different towns, but we wound up staying for the funeral at the second one.  Both people who passed away were in their early 50″s and died of long-time health issues.  Both were Christians!!!  The husband spoke at the lady’s funeral.  He spoke from his heart and shared such a powerful message to encourage listeners to salvation.  The pastor who stood to speak after him said he should had spoken first. because the husband’s message was hard to follow.  I may never attend another service like that one, but I will remember it for the rest of my life!  God, please bless both of these sweet families.

When you die, and and you will, what will your life had said to others?  Where will you spend your eternity?
