“May God be praised!

He has not turned away my prayer

or turned His faithful love from me.”

~Psalm 66:20~

Austin Rose

Well I am learning that there will be good days and bad days. Friday was terrible… Nausea, vomiting, nose bleeds… Ended up on medicine that made him sleep, which was great, but we missed having him alert and awake. Luckily, Saturday was better. Even had a visitor ( thank you for coming) and dad brought in a pan of Chicken Alfredo. Austin ate more last night than he has in over 2 weeks. They are starting to prep me for what I will have to do at home ( no fun) but going home sounds good. Keeping fingers crossed that we get discharged tomorrow afternoon. Will keep y’all posted. Please continue to pray for his healing.

My aunt and my brother-in-law’s mother (the same person)

Eva Smith is having a pacemaker implanted this morning in northern Alabama.  Pray for her, the medical staff, and her family.

Pat Felker called to say her dad, Kenneth Felker, is now a resident for the Kentwood Nursing home.  Mr. Kenneth would appreciate your visits.

“In the same way the Spirit also joins to help in our weakness,

because we do not know what to pray for as we should,

but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with unspoken groanings.”

~Romans8:26~

Austin Rose is doing better.  He is able to eat a little and to enjoy having company.  The family thanks you so much for your prayers.

Please read “Prayers for Eli” on Facebook.  Eli has been/is a very sick little boy.  As you pray for him, please include prayers for the family.

Some of my aunt’s immediate family were meeting with her doctor at 6:30 this morning to discuss a pacemaker.  Let’s pray for whatever decision was made.  Let’s also be thankful some of the Louisiana portion of the family were able to be in Alabama with Eva Smith.

My niece, Kristin Eudy, came home from her mission trip to Haiti yesterday afternoon.  She left another piece of her heart there.  Pray for Kristin to be able to use her experiences to encourage others to participate in missions.

Monday Obituaries

Update on Austin… Monday, July 1 st… Great couple of days!! Over the weekend he was taken off dialysis, had his breathing tube removed AND came off the oxygen. Stats so good he was able to get out of ICU on Sunday afternoon and got a regular room ( yay!). No limit to the number of visitors so we don’t have to hide Blair behind the curtain LOL. He continues to respond well to the chemo. Started round 2 today. Hasn’t eaten yet since this whole ordeal started but getting his nutrients from a bag. Still has all his hair, not due to fall out for another week maybe. Fighting minor little things but other than that doing great. Will probably be here through next weekend then hopefully have a week off before round 3 starts. Thank you all so very much for all of the thoughts , prayers, goodies, posters, and inspirational words. We are truly blessed beyond comprehension. Please continue to pray as we take one day at a time.

Thanking God for this good report.

Monday Addition

From JoEllen Carruth

So very thankful right now. Daryl (Carruth) fell … while working on some hay equipment and really hurt his hip. Just left hospital and it is not broken just really bad bruise. Hay season is always full of injuries in our parish so you guys need to be careful.

Mrs. Susie Wales

Thanks for all the prayers and support during Mom’s recent return to the hospital. The doctor was able to put her hip back in place with quick success. She is in a special hip brace that gives added support to the hip and knee. She is on limited weight bearing with her right hip, having to walk on her right toes and use the walker to carry her weight on that side. She is to continue this for a minimum of six(6) weeks. Home health therapy will be every day for most of that time. She is back with Kathy and I until the doctors tell her she can return to normal walking and no brace, 3 to 6 months. Continue to pray for her healing, recovery and her attitude as she has to put up with us and our crazy schedule this summer. Her motto is “fight, fight, fight.” She is determined to make it through this.
In Christ,
Chris
