“Therefore does my Father love me,

because I lay down my life,

I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection

and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings,

becoming like him in his death,

and so, somehow, to attain to the resurrection from the dead.

Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect,

but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.

Bible Study – This morning at FBC at 10:00 A.M.

Good Friday!

The first Good Friday was a difficult day for the early Christians.  They did not fully understand the plans God had for the third day.  How blessed we are that we now can understand all this.  The third day would not have been possible if the events of Good Friday had not occurred.

I hope you see the Easter season with understanding of the reason for our celebrations at this time of the year.  If not, find someone who can help you understand and rejoice in all that has happened for our benefit.

Delphine Fussell and Arizona Grice

Both Delphine and Arizona have been released from the hospital in Greenville, S.C.  The staff there was like the “hands of God” in caring for this out-of-state family.  They are traveling on to see Carley Grice.  Join the family in thanking God for this good report.

A “God-Wink” Shared by Frances Gay

Debbie Dennis of Ponchatoula was having some kidney issues in another state five years ago.  At that time, a lady went to Debbie’s husband, a pastor,  and told him God wanted her to give her kidney to Debbie.  Move forward five years.  Debbie now needs a kidney transplant.  The person who was planning to be the donor did not match well enough.  Debbie’s family contacted the lady who had volunteered her kidney five years ago.  She is a perfect match and will be donating her kidney to Debbie the first of next week!

Mrs. Dorothy Hughes (New Zion area)

“Miss” Dorothy fell and sustained some serious injuries.  I was told she is hospitalized in Covington.  Please be in prayer for her.

Mrs. Jean (Joe) Easley

Jean and Joe need our continued prayers.  He has been a wonderful caregiver.

Mrs. Rigby, Karen Miller’s Mom, and Johnnie “Lil Man” Santangello

Both of these had their first treatment yesterday.  Mrs. Rigby is in Alabama; “Lil Man” is in Arizona.  God was right beside both of them at the same time.

Annette Williams

Annette has been released from the hospital after ten days and is recovering at Line Creek with her sweet family.  I know the care is top-rated there.  Pray for continued improvement.

Gary Varnado

Gary is home from the hospital.  Gretchen says they don’t know what caused the problem, but are thankful to have him better and at home.
