Kevin Edward Husser, a resident of Husser, LA passed away on Sunday Morning, July 1, 2018 in his sleep on his big rig. He was born January 29, 1964 in Amite, LA. Kevin is survived by his wife, Susan Curtiss Husser; sons, Kevin Leon Husser and Joseph Calmes; daughter, Kathy Hooper and husband, Jacob; stepdaughters, Sharyl Teague and husband, Billy, Amanda White and husband, John “Tony”; 5 grandchildren, Nya Hooper, Max and Madison Teague, and Wesley and Elijah White; sister, Myra Sharpe; brothers, Ronnie and Clifton Husser; sisters-in-law, Linda and Evelyn Husser; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Kathleen Calmes Husser, Jr.; and a brother, David Wayne Husser. Kevin was a 35 year lifetime member of Husser Volunteer Fire Department and drove almost 30 years for J. B. Hunt. He was a 2,000 mile safe driver. Dwight V. Casanova, Sr.

February 09, 1933 – June 30, 2018A resident of Amite passed away on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at his home. He was born February 9, 1933 in Amite and was 85 years of age. He was a U. S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict, a retired dairy farmer, a retired school bus driver and a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Verma Hoover Casanova; daughter, Lana Casanova; 2 sons, Dwight V. Casanova, Jr. and Michael W. Casanova; 2 granddaughters, Erica and Jessica Casanova; 2 brothers, Austin J. Casanova and John W. Casanova, all of Amite. Preceded in death by parents, Monroe and Virena H. Casanova. She was a member of Spring Creek Baptist Church. She is survived by her 2 daughters, Gail Lorio and husband, Randy, Pride and Donna Erwin, Baton Rouge; 2 grandchildren, Marcy Linxwiler, Baton Rouge and Crystal Datz and husband, Nathan, Pride; 4 great-grandchildren, Aspen and Sage Linxwiler and Brady and Logan Datz; 3 sisters, Zilpha Lea Smith, Onzia Anderson, and her twin sister, Myrle Gates and husband, Curtis.
