Prayer Focus
Pray for those on the ever-changing lists of those in the nursing homes and hospitals. When you are unaware of all the names of those you know, you can pray for “all the patients”.
Pray for mission efforts to tell others about God. May they be successful in getting the Good News to all people. May we be generous with our time and money in the efforts to do so.
Bro. Darrell continues to do well according to the last word we received. Both Bro. Darrell and his wife, Laurie, are tired. We all know there is not a lot of rest in a hospital, especially following surgery. Pray they can get some good rest and that his procedure continues to show good results.

A Late Christmas Party
Yesterday, my sister, Julie, and her husband, Donnie, were finally able to meet us for our “Christmas lunch and Dollar Tree Gift Exchange at Middendorf’s. It’s our unique and very special Christmas family event. We must have postponed the date five or six times due to conflicts- deaths, appointments, sickness, etc. – that came up. We had a great visit and lunch and have already decided to do that again later this year, hopefully. We are thankful for our family time. Today, I’ll be placing the gifts we received in place so we can enjoy using them. We hope to be seeing them again in a few weeks for a baby shower for Caroline, my great-niece who is due in a couple of months.
Have a wonderful day. Contact your friends and loved ones. Encourage a church member to attend a Sunday School class. Cook something to share with a homebound friend, Call someone whom you have not seen lately. Invite someone to church, etc. Make a good day even better by doing so.
Bro. Darryl – The latest report we have was from about 5:30 P.M. Surgery was late getting started, but all went well. They were able to work robotically. The church office (220-8111) will give you an update if you are not on the facebook list for updates.
Ruby Travis – Ruby fell at home Monday night and broke a bone in her shoulder. She is in North Oaks now and will be having surgery at 8 A.M. this morning. Please pray all goes well.
Margie Williams – Please continue to pray for Margie Williams as she deals with a broken leg.
