GEORGIA BARNETTE OFFERING FOR LOUISIANA MISSIONS
Ir is never too late to give to this offering which supports missions in our own state. Each state has their own offering and names the offering for a lady who greatly encouraged missions here in their state.
As cooler weather comes our way, today is a good day to pray for those whose home environments will not be warm without some last-minute intervention from neighbors and friends. Do you have a neighbor, friend, or relative who needs a heater, an additional blanket, pipes wrapped, etc? We had a neighbor/friend who helped us with pipes when David was sick. What a blessing he was to us! As I think of others with needs, I also remember his kindness to us a few years ago. The change in the weather will always be a reminder to me, not only of what was done for us, but also what me can do for someone else. I remember the following phrase – “”Each One Bring One”. Today, I’m saying “Each One Help One” or more.
Have a great day. Remember to pray for those on your personal prayer list.

Bring your children/grandchildren to celebrate the season in a safe environment.
Looking forward to Sunday School and worship this morning. I hope you are too.
When in places like the mountains where, we have just been, this verse is always one of the first verses that comes to mind. We don’t have to be in the mountains though to appreciate this verse. I hope to find some time today to sit and meditate on this verse. I hope you do too.
We were sad to hear of the death of Steve Sanders. Our thoughts and prayers have been for the children. I’ll share his obituary for those who may not have seen it..

Today is the preparation for for the Lord’s Day. Do what needs to be done so you will be ready to get dressed to attend a church and worship tomorrow.
David and I took a little trip for a few days. We apologize to those of you who checked TPL daily, but couldn’t find any new posts. Special thanks to those of you who called, sent messages, etc. to make sure we were okay.
I had big plans to prevent this from being a problem. I bought a “notebook” and was instructed by Jason on how to use it, BUT even though I posted a few times early in the week, I was unsuccessful in getting them published for you to read. So…I will get some more lessons and hopefully do better next time.
We did have a great trip and managed to come home without any new broken bones or dents on the car. We traveled through five states today and do not plan to travel as far as Mississippi tomorrow.
We are always thankful for trips, but especially after all the health issues of the last few years. God has been abundantly good to us! We have counted our blessing over an over this week.
Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
~Philippians 4: 4-7~
Read. Write. Meditate. Pray.
As you rejoice in the Lord today, begin to make preparations to “Rejoice” in church tomorrow.
