This week is flying by. Life has been busy. I am blessed and am very thankful. How about you?
Scriptures for today:
“Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. As it is written: ‘They have freely scattered their gifts to the poor; their righteousness endures forever.”
2 Corinthians 9:7-9
“You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love. For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”
Galatians 5:13-14
“This is a trustworthy saying. And I want you to stress these things, so that those who have trusted in God may be careful to devote themselves to doing what is good. These things are excellent and profitable for everyone.”
Titus 3:8

Missions
The current focus for Baptist is on missions in individual states. Each state focuses on the needs in their own state and is named for a lady who has been instrumental in work in that state . Monetary gifts given in one state are spent in that state and each one is named for a lady who made a big impact on Christian work in that state. Our Georgia Barnette offering was named for a lady who lived in New Orleans, but worked all through our state. The following link may help you learn more about what is needed and currently done in Louisiana.
