I just read this article and think many of you will all want to read this article.
I think many churches are beginning to emphasise the words “serve”, “serving”, and “service”. The words have always been in the Bible, but are being emphasised much more. I think that is great!
Missions
We talk about organized missions in our churches. I think we need to begin to “do” more organized missions! Talk with your pastor or an individual who is “doing” missions. You can always learn from a person who “has a heart for missions”. I think of “hands on” missions as a great opportunity for all of us. Find someone to guide you and set an example fot you and others.
For this is what the Lord has commanded us: “ ‘I have made you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.’ ” Acts 13:47
Pine Ridge Ladies’ Bible Study
We are studying about Ruth. Wednesday. our last meeting, we had 48 ladies present to study together. We are still on chapter one of Ruth. You are invited to join us. If you have an questions, I will be happy to answer them or guide you to a person who can.
