THE PRAYER LINK – SATURDAY

A Scripture for Today

Sunday School Lesson

I hope you have already studied your lesson for tomorrow. If so, find some time to “dig a little deeper”. There’s always more to learn.

A Verse of Encouragement

“So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.”   Galatians 6:10

Missions: Fall Food Round-Up for the Children of the LA Baptist Children’s Home

You have one more week to bring items, to add to what you have already given this year, or to write a check that will allow the children’s home to purchase items they need in the coming year. A truck from the children’s home will be in our area on the 14th of this month. Get your donations in to your church this week.

Missions: Manna

This weekend is a good time to prepare some dishes to share with others. You can share with individuals you choose or take your donations to the a team member at the church tomorrow.

Missions – Georgia Barnette Offering

This month. we will be focusing on missions in Louisiana. All donations will be used, as needed, in our state to share God’s Word.

Missions – Operation Christmas Child

Now is a good time to donate to OCC to cover the cost of a Bible in each child’s language, to train local Christians to share about Jesus, and to transport all the Shoeboxes to their destination, etc. Remember, the average shoebox impacts ten individuals with knowledge of the Bible.

There is a recommendation we send $10.00 for each shoebox. Churches usually sent this amount at the same time as they turn in their boxes. You can give your donation by indicating “Shoeboxes” on your check or envelope. You have until mid-November to help your local church do this. The best time is always “NOW”!

Missions – WMU/Women on Mission

The associational meeting scheduled for the 12th at FBC, Kentwood is a wonderful time to learn more about missions. All ladies and girls are invited to attend and learn about opportunities for us as individuals and groups. The meeting will begin at 10:00 A.M. and conclude with a potluck meal. I’m inviting and encouraging all of you to attend.

Have a wonderful day of “preparation for the Lord’s Day”!
