Special Requests
I have a special request from a former classmate who is a member of Mr. Nebo Baptist Church. This request was sent last night and I have not looked for an update. The request is for prayer for Mt. Nebo Baptist Church, east of Arcola/Roseland area. The. request is made that we pray for the church because they flooded a few years ago in similar weather conditions. I would add a request for the pastor’s home which also previously flooded. A nearby creek, Big Creek, was threatening to flood the property again.
Also, southern Tangipahoa parish is low and there has been more rain there than here.
As you become aware of needs due to the weather condition, please stop and pray. Then, check around to see how you can be helpful to our neighbors to the south. I feel sure there are many people suffering because of rain/flooding.

Sunday School Lesson
Yesterday, I was studying my S.S. lesson. It was “one of those days with lots of interruptions. That doesn’t usually happen. but it did. I’ll try again today.
Closing Scripture
1 John 1:8-9
“ If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
