  • Monday, February 19th, 1940 – Wednesday, August 31st, 2022
  • Jacqueline “Jackie” Browning Hano, 82, a resident of Ethel, LA, died on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at her home. There will be a visitation on Monday, September 5, 2022, at the Redwood Baptist Church in Slaughter from 10:00 am until funeral services at 12:00 Noon. Burial will be in the church cemetery. She is survived by one daughter, Dianne LeBlanc and husband P-Wee LeBlanc of Zachary; two sons: Mark Hano and wife Barbie Hano of Ethel; Derrick Hano and wife Tawana Hano of Panama City, FL; one sister, Janice Yarborough of Kentwood, LA; ten grandchildren: Jamie Dillion (Chris), Richard Whittle, Jonathon Whittle, Rachel Duplessis (Josh), Cory Hano, Kobi Knapp (Chris), Giovanna Hano, Cade LeBlanc, Casey Dufrene (Tyler), and Cheyenne Chandler; eight great-grandchildren: Amelia, Banks, Slade, Rylynn, Brooks, Lyla, Joseph, and Olivia. She was preceded in death by her parents Thomas B. Browning and Clara Ola Browning; brother Donald Ray Browning; husband Richard Hano; and husband Donald McDaniel. Pallbearers will be Richard Whittle, Chris Dillon, Cade LeBlanc, Jonathon Whittle, Josh Duplessis, and Ritchie Yarborough. She was a 1958 graduate of Clinton High School, where she was a track star, who still holds many state records. She also found time to be a cheerleader. The family would like to thank Hospice of Baton Rouge and her four sitters, Lisa, Ashley, Joyce & Tye for the past year and a half for taking such good care of her.

  • OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD
  • Our workday was well attended. We were able to pack 150 shoeboxes and prepare some items for future packings. We now have 250 shoeboxes packed and 150 more to pack next time.
  • PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY – Let’s pray for all the other churches and packers who will be working on shoeboxes in the coming months.
