FALL FOOD ROUND-UP for the Louisiana Baptist Children’s Home
A truck will be at FBC, Kentwood on September 19 to collect the food for the children. Cash can also be given through the church office. Below is a list of ten most needed items for this year.
Aluminum foil
Bathroom tissue
Cleaners (household)
Clorox
Cooking oil
Cornmeal
Crackers
Ketchup
Mayonnaise
Paper towels and napkins
These items can be dropped off at the church any time in the coming month.
The Georgia Barnette Offering for Louisiana can also be turned in during the next couple months. The Week of Prayer will be September 11-18. Georgia Barnette includes many ministries, including Disaster Relief.
The next Operation Christmas Child workshop will be Saturday, September 3rd. We had two new helpers last week. Both of them said they would be back to help next month. On September 3rd, we will be packing 150 shoeboxes. We have already been making a list of needed items for the next packing.
While shopping for OCC yesterday, David had several people to question him about his multiple doll, soap, and calculator purchases. After explaining about the boys and girls who will receive the shoeboxes in the coming year, a clerk gave him a $10.00 donation! A church member gave a donation Sunday night. Thank-you for helping us purchase items we need.
Please add Debi and Katie to your prayer list is they are not already there.
