Ricky Simpson‘s heart surgery has been postponed until 9:50 this morning. Please include him and his family in your prayers.

*Leto baby, son of Sammy and Christina Smith Leto passed away.
*Rhonda Edward, daughter of Kenneth and Yvonne Birch, will now be wearing a neck brace.
*Debi Bales will have a pacemaker implanted Monday.

June 20, 1934 – August 3, 2022
A resident of Kentwood, LA, passed away on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at her home. She was born June 20, 1934 in Osyka, MS and was 88 years of age. She is survived by her daughter, Teresa Gwynette Slaven Gill; daughter-in-law, Lisa Ann Slaven; 5 grandchildren, Marsha Ann Slaven, Tessa Lenn Creel, Hillery Caroline Gill, Tabbitha Nikole Gill and ReAnna Leigh Gill; 4 great-grandchildren, Kyle Joseph Slaven, Kalenn Jade Slaven, John Paul Creel and James Harvey Creel. Preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Wyman Slaven; son, Glenn Estes Slaven; parents, Maggie and Monroe Potts; sisters, Edna Grice and Evelyn Stafford; infant sister, Ceresa Potts; brothers, Felix (Sonny) Potts and Monroe Potts, daughter-in-law, Sharon Schexnayder; infant grandson, Steven Lance Slaven. Visitation at East Fork Baptist Church from 5:00PM until 9:00PM on Friday and from 8:00AM until religious services at 11:00AM on Saturday, August 6, 2022. Services conducted by Rev.
