Thursday

The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life,
turning a person from the snares of death.

Proverbs 14: 27

Our little town is full of people who have had surgery, mainly heart and knee surgery. Now, many of them are in rehabilitation, some in facilities and some at home. It is a good time to say and do things to encourage them and help them take the focus off their health issues. Try a phone call to check on the need for meals, a driver, shopping, etc. they might need.

READ AND WRITE SCRIPTURE TODAY

May 19 – Acts 2: 4

This monthly the mission focus is on Moving Mountains Ministry which helps meets needs of foster children when they are placed in a home. There is not usually a lot of time for a family to get clothing and other needs for a family. Ellen, the young lady who runs this ministry, has said many of the children do not have pajamas. Help us provide new pajamas for these children. You can choose boys or girls and any size from birth to size 16. Leave them in the church office or give them to Chinero Fowler or me. Let’s help make a difference!

Ladies, Saturday morning at 9:00, we will meet to work on some projects for our “shoeboxes”. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Feel free to bring a friend and a snack to share.. Bring along your children or grandchildren who will sit and fill our some easy letters to be placed in the shoeboxes.

Say prayers of thanksgiving today as well as prayers for needs you and others might have.
