‘Twas the night before National Collection Week
And all through the land
Volunteers were busy preparing
The time was at hand.
The signs were all hung
Announcing shoebox drop-off right here
In hopes to reach millions for Jesus
Through gifts collected this year.
Families and friends, young and old
Made final touches on special gifts untold
Filling them full with toys to the brim
Or building online—it all points to Him!
Each shoebox represents a child—
turn your thoughts to this
A Gospel opportunity we don’t want to miss.
Pack a shoebox gift and reflect on the One
And the hope we have because God gave us His Son
(Shared from an Operation Christmas Child post.)
“Get up,
cry out in the night,
even as the night begins.
Pour out your heart like water in prayer to the Lord.”
~Lamentations 2:19 (NCV)~

Thankfulness – Day 15
Today, I am thankful for those who share the Gospel. They might be pastors, Sunday School teachers, missionaries, evangelists, or untitled Christians. They know our responsibility to tell others about Jesus and do so.
19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
~Matthew 28:19-20, NIV-
