and do not lean on your own understanding.

In all your ways acknowledge him,

and he will make straight your paths.”

What is the new season of the year?

No, it is not fall! It is shoebox packing season in many of our churches, businesses, and clubs. It is the time of the year when all the shopping and collecting pays off. What a blessing it is to see the items go into the boxes and know that in about five weeks they will begin their journey from where we live to a child somewhere around the world, often in a country you cannot easily point to on a map. Be sure each box and each recipient is prayed for. I also like to thank God for those who contributed and packed the shoeboxes.

If your church, school, club, etc. does not pack shoeboxes, I cannot fully explain what blessings you are missing out on. If your church, school, club, etc. would like to learn more and receive guidance, step-by-step, I volunteer to be your guide. I’ve learned so much over the many years of packing that I think I can explain, encourage, and guide you as you work through the process. I surely can tell you what a blessing it is to all who participate in any way. Be prepared to be blessed.
