The Lord’s Day

“Get rid of all the filth and evil in your lives,

and humbly accept the word God has planted in your hearts,

for it has the power to save your souls.”

~James 1:21 (NLT)~

I can remember a few times when our area seemed to have had numerous deaths. The recent months seem to be one such time. On top of that we have losses of homes and other damage from Ida and Nicholass. Pray for all the hurting families. Find ways of helping others that suit you.

Express your appreciation to utility workers who are still working to restore power to all homes, schools, and businesses.

Express your appreciation to volunteers who have come to provide many services. One example is the Louisiana Baptist Disaster Relief. The group working at FBC, Kentwood is from Georgia. They rotate volunteers for weekly shifts. They come because they have talents and love to share with us.

Donations are always accepted to help purchase things like fruit, vegetables, milk, bread, and meats. You can turn in these donations through the regular offering or the church office. Thank-you for supporting the Children’s Home.

Today’s Prayer Focus. – Today, let’s pray for Sunday School classes in all our churches as the Bible is taught weekly.

Also pray for schools as they work to teach lessons that have been missed since Ida came through our area.
