“God says he will accept and acquit us

—declare us ‘not guilty’—i

f we trust Jesus Christ to take away our sins.

And we all can be saved in this same way,

by coming to Christ,

no matter who we are or what we have been like.”

Prayer Focus for Today – Homebound People

I’ve taught homebound students and considered all they were missing out on.

I’ve know senior adults who were at home and alone for years. They surely do enjoy company.

Many people have been homebound because of Covid-19 during the past year. Their “company” is usually limited to not much more than the medical people who come to care for them.

Conveniences like drive-in pharmacies and banking help, as does grocery pickup. Connections to the “outside world” are extremely important.

Visits mean the world to the homebound. Telephone calls and cards in the mail are also special to them. We can all do more to encourage others through difficult time such as periods of homebound confinement.

Time Change This Weekend

Saturday night, you need to adjust your clocks to “spring forward”. You will lose an hour of sleep and get to church on time Sunday.

Thank-you for praying for those on your personal prayer list. It is so encouraging to hear others say they are praying for you and know they really have been doing so.
