Juanita Bowman Russell Miller

December 25, 1925 – February 19, 2021

A resident of Amite, LA, passed away on Friday, February 19, 2021 at Riverside Medical Center in Franklinton, LA. She was born December 25, 1925 in Jackson, LA and was 95 years of age. She is survived by 3 daughters Fairba Russell Cade (Raymond), Nancy Russell Forbes (Bobby), and Julie Kathy Russell; 1 son Lloyd Russell; 2 step-sons J. C. Miller and Wendell Miller (Diane); grandchildren, Celeste Cade Hickman (Tommy), Christie Cade Quin (Ray), Laura Forbes Ricuard, Wendy Miller Tilley (Robert), Barry Miller (Leslie), Julie Miller, and Josh Miller (Nikki); numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and a special niece, Patti Heine (Walter). Preceded in death by first husband Roy V. Russell; second husband Emmett C. Miller; son Roy V. Russell; brother Julius Alton Bowman; parents Howard and Iola Shillings Bowman; daughter in law Debbie Rimes Miller. Pallbearers will be Bruce Ricuard, Ray Quin, Connor Quin, and Tommy Hickman. Honorary pallbearers will be Raymond Cade, Bobby Forbes, Wendell Miller and J. C. Miller. Visitation at McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, from 9:00AM until religious services at 11:00AM on Thursday, February 25, 2021. Services conducted by Rev. Ray Wuerzer. Yesterday, I just couldn’t bring myself to writing that Peyton and Iva Jane Travis had been killed. I do not have an obituary yet, but will post one when it is available. Pray for this family and and their many friends who were blessed to enjoy their smiles and laughter.
